The Janitor

I quite enjoyed this. It's a very simple animation, almost a series of moving etchings, depicting just how God asked his janitor to water the Earth after it started to look a bit dirty. He turned on the waterworks then got distracted by various other chores - including double-coating Mars with red paint! Anyway, clearly his Earthly business slipped his mind until God showed up again to point out it had been forty days and the whole place is flooded out! Luckily, the ark was safe and sound and now God sent his son down to share some love around the newly populated world. We all know how that turned out! The narration is wittily irreverent and it packs quite a lot into a four minutes that does raise a smile.

I feel queasy

I looked around to find this short and was glad when I Did. And then it started... the combination of the visuals and the janitor's odd slurred voice made me feel really sick in the stomach for some reason. I couldn't finish the film.

Entertaining, if quirky and probably controversial.

This short is not going to appeal to everyone. I'm a Catholic with a sense of humor and quite secure in my faith, so it doesn't bother me. I think it's quite funny, as a matter of fact. There are undoubtably people who would disagree vehemently. This cartoon is not for them. If you are a True Believer, you probably won't like this cartoon. I happen to give the Almighty credit for having a sense of humor and I think this is a funny, if less reverent look at how things work. Well worth watching. Recommended with the caveats stated above.
