While the films young cast had to undergo training sessions for the swimming and rock climbing sequences, Daniel Stern deliberately avoided any exercise, as he felt it would better enhance just how out-of-his-element his character was.

If so, the movie would had seen Marv out of prison years after the events of the 2nd movie and no longer with Harry Lime (Joe Pesci) and now working as a courier. However, Daniel Stern would return as Marv in a 2015 YouTube video which a terrified Marv records a video to Harry pleading with him to come and find him and warns him that Kevin McAllister, the main protagonist of Home Alone (Macaulay Culkin) is back and that he's coming to get him and other burglars.
