General Hospital spoilers squeal Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are growing closer by the minute as they continue to coexist in Sonny’s penthouse apartment — away from the world that might judge them if they ever linked up again.
Most of all, Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) would have a field day exposing Ava for the fraud she is if she knew that her so-called best friend was moving in on her territory.
At the same time, Sonny doesn’t see it that way because he’s beyond done with his soon-to-be ex-wife. If Nina hasn’t accepted that, that’s her problem in his eyes. But rumor has it someone is about to take note of the flirtation happening between Ava and Sonny soon, and it could spell disaster if word gets back to Nina.

Certainly one definition of great music might include an ability to meet the present – and the future – head-on and come out unbruised, even triumphant. By that standard and many more, The Who’s Tommy, opening tonight on Broadway, is thrilling proof that the premiere concept album of 1969 is great music indeed.
Gloriously directed by Des McAnuff and updated by him and composer-lyricist Pete Townshend from their own 1993 original Broadway staging, The Who’s Tommy is a non-stop surge of electrified energy, a darting pinball of a production that syncs visual panache with 55-year-old songs that sound as vital today as they must have at Woodstock. Themes of enlightenment and connection, trauma and recovery, truth and lies and blinkered hero worship feel more relevant in the 21st Century than Townshend could possibly have imagined way back in the waning days of the ’60s.

New Line’s new animated movie, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, is moving from its April 12, 2024 release date to Dec. 13 next year.
The move stems from a chain-reaction of Warner Bros re-dating today, spurred by Legendary Entertainment’s Dune: Part Two going from Nov. 3 this year to March 15, 2024, which then pushed that financier and producer’s other title, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire from that date to April 12, 2024. Dune: Part Two had to move had to shift on account of the unavailability of its cast to promote during the actors strike.
War of the Rohirrim will now face off on its new December date against Sony’s reboot of The Karate Kid.
The anime feature, directed by Kenji Kamiyama, is set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original New Line Lord of the Rings trilogy. Those Peter Jackson movies, in addition to his Hobbit trilogy,...

One of the things we love most about the dark Showtime series “Yellowjackets” is all the fantastic ’90s music. Half of the show takes place in 1996, when high school girls’ soccer team crash lands in the wilderness and half is set 25 years later, with the still traumatized adult survivors.
Season 2 features an exclusive track by Florence + the Machine, an eerie cover of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl,” Sharon Van Etten’s “Seventeen,” and such ’90s feminist icons as Tori Amos.
And of course, we love the kind of creepy main title theme, “No Return,” by Craig Wedren and Anna Waronker. The opening credits from Season 1 teased some of the things we would see unfold, and the updated Season 2 credits sequence also gives us hints at what we’ll see in upcoming episodes.

Richard Dreyfuss is not a fan of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ soon-to-be implemented diversity requirements for awards eligibility, saying bluntly, “They make me vomit.”
“It’s an art. No one should be telling me as an artist that I have to give in to the latest, most current idea of what morality is,” Dreyfuss told Margaret Hoover on PBS’ “The Firing Line With Margaret Hoover.” “What are we risking? Out of all the popular shows that have changed the course of reality television, Survivor is probably the most iconic. The franchise launched in the United States in 2000 and eventually spawned multiple spinoffs and themed series. One of the most popular aired in 2008, when Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites debuted on television. This season would become infamous amongst the fan base, as well as for host Jeff Probst, who opened up before it aired about a red-hot romance that developed between two of the contestants. While Probst remained mum on the identity of the two contestants, many fans have developed a theory about the details of the romance.

The Glastonbury 2023 headliners have been announced by Emily Eavis.
The festival’s co-organiser shared the news in an article discussing “pipeline” problems related to the all-male headlining line-up.
Joining Elton John will be Arctic Monkeys on the Friday, headlining for their third time, with Guns N’ Roses playing the Saturday slot.
Eavis said that Guns N’ Roses replaced a female singer who “changed her touring plans”.
While Eavis didn’t name names, it’s strongly suspected she was alluding to Taylor Swift, who was originally set to perform in 2020 when the festival was cancelled due to Covid.
However, Eavis expressed excitement about the “Sweet Child O’ Mine” rockers’ Glastonbury debut, telling The Guardian: “They’ll be brilliant and provide something totally different to the rest of the headliners.”
She said that Lizzo will “open” for the band, with the “About Damn Time” singer receiving joint headline billing on the poster.

Jimmy Fallon cranked up the love for Ariana DeBose’s viral rap from this year’s BAFTAs ceremony, donning a wig, a tan Stetson and strumming a guitar as he nailed an impression of the iconic musician Neil Young — singing “Angela Bassett did the thing.”
“The Tonight Show” announcer Steve Higgins introduced the act on Monday, saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, Neil Young,” and pointing to a darkened center stage. The camera panned to a single yellow light shining down onto a man sitting on a black stool. Although unable to see his face in the shadows, the hat, the long hair, the guitar resting on his leg and a harmonica held below his mouth gave hint to what was to come.
And then Fallon began to sing. Or was it Neil Young? Hard to tell because it was that spot-on! Listen to Fallon in the clip at the top and decide for yourself.

“Fast X” will return from space under director Louis Leterrier, who has taken the reins from Justin Lin after Lin departed the project, citing creative differences.
“There’s war brewing,” Leterrier told Empire for a first look at the final installment in the franchise. “It’s coming to an end, and it is a race to the finish. There will be some tremendous casualties.”
Diesel’s character Dom Toretto returns behind the wheel of his Dodge Charger, and Charlize Theron’s villain Cypher still presents a threat. Jason Mamoa will bring a new villain Dante to the screen. “Fast X” will race into theaters later this year following the 2021 release of “F9: The Fast Saga.”

NBC has ordered the pilot for Wolf, a one-hour medical drama from writer-producer Michael Grassi, producer-director Lee Toland Krieger and executive producer Greg Berlanti. The project comes from Warner Bros Television, where all three are under overall deals.
This is the project’s third incarnation, after previously receiving a put pilot commitment at Fox in 2019 with Alex Berger to write. Krieger remains with the project from its previous iteration, and he will direct the pilot.

A federal judge sent a proposed 1.9 billion financing package for bankrupt Cineworld back to the table for a redo but said he’s committed to approving some kind of cash injection quickly for the Regal Cinemas parent.
Cineworld filed for Chapter 11 in the Southern District of Texas yesterday with a so-called Dip, or debtor-in-possession, loan from a consortium of lenders to keep operating while it cleans up its balance sheet. But Judge Marvin Isgur nixed 1 billion of that total earmarked, not for operations, but to refinance pre-petition loans from the same group of debtholders.
At a hearing today, lawyers for Cineworld and a majority of Dip lenders seemed flabbergasted when the judge demurred, stressing Cineworld’s dire straits with just 4 million of cash in hand. That’s “not sufficient to run a global operation,” said James Mesterharm of AlixPartners, the chief restructuring officer Cineworld hired in August to examine its books,...

With only five episodes left, the drama on ’90210′ is too intense for California alone — so it’s going bicoastal!
Keke Palmer may look gorgeous in this photo from the April 22 episode of 90210, but don’t be fooled; she’s going to find herself at the center of some ugly drama. Keke, 19, is joining the series as Jordan’s (Robbie Jones) younger sister Elizabeth — and a potential nightmare for Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord).
Keke makes her first appearance at a masked ball when the show returns April 15, according to Zap2it, and Elizabeth’s decision to keep her identity a secret is going to prove especially difficult for Naomi. But what exactly is going to go down between the two ladies? That’s still anyone’s guess, but it must be pretty bad, because the April 22 episode — photographed here — finds Naomi traveling to New York City to set things right with Jordan’s family.

Michael Clarke Duncan has died at 54. The Green Mile actor passed suddenly on Monday at Cedars Sinai Medical Center with Omarosa Manigault's mother by his side. His fiancee Omarosa had been visiting him herself, but he died shortly after she stepped out for a bit. It appears the actor never fully recovered from the heart attack he endured on July 13.
A rep tells TMZ, "[Omarosa] Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date."
When the shocking news surfaced, many of Duncan's celebrity friends tweeted out about the sad news. But also remembered how wonderful the actor was.
Olivia Munn wrote, "Michael Clarke Duncan always had a smile on his face and a big bear hug ready for you. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Rip.

Various artists, "Sparkle: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" (RCA Records)
Curtis Mayfield and Aretha Franklin's union for the soundtrack of the 1976 musical drama "Sparkle" made for an instant soul classic, so the 2012 remake already has a lot to live up to. The burden for greatness is shared among the main cast, which includes Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter and Cee Lo Green. Sparks emerges as the leading lady of the album. She shines bright on various collaborations and her three solo tracks: It's another winning moment for the former "American Idol" champ.
With that said, Houston has become the focus of the film and soundtrack since she died earlier this year. Her songs here should have served as a high note for the icon, but unfortunately her swan songs – "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" and "Celebrate" with Sparks – falter as the singer struggles to find her once sparkling,...

Updated: Check The Bottom For The Update. Also, an unrelated tweet tells us that the film is reportedly now shooting in Sherman Oaks, CA with a new cast member. But first, over on some sort of Michael Bay forum, the director himself confirmed the following: The Twins are not back in T3. I know, this is sad news for all of us. Those characters certainly weren't distracting, insulting, poorly conceived, or just another indication of the inferior quality of those movies at all. Also, we have this: Judging by two tweets, it appears that Transformers 3 production is now underway in Sherman Oaks, California and with a new cast member, Kym Whitley. Kym Whitley tweeted: Working on Transformers 3 today, a little nervous...always when starting a new project. I have said the Lords prayer 12 times. Meanwhile Melody Mooney tweets: Transformers 3 begins shooting on our street today. Info sheet...
