- Selena is shown getting into a rickety bungee jump style ride at a fair.
- Abraham is very short tempered and raises his voice loudly in a few scenes. The most intense one is when he fires Chris and threatens to disband the group if Selena sees him again.
- Selena dies at the end we see her arm fall limp in an ambulance as paramedics attempt to recesitate her. We then see a memorial gathering where several fans are greiving.
- In a flashback scene Abraham and his bandmates are discriminated by a racist club owner.
- When Selena and her friend are in an expensive boutique looking for dresses to wear to the Grammys the saleswoman tells her she wouldn't be able to afford an $800 dress which may be seen as racial profiling.
- Selena's family reacts with grief when they find out she died we see them crying into eachothers shoulders.
- After getting into an argument with her father over her relationship with Chris Selena is in emotional distress.
