Loretta Lawson is surrounded by death, as she celebrates in Oxford, a student takes her own life, and when she travels to stay in an associate's Parisian apartment, a man lay dead in the next room.
It's a pretty decent watch, I have searched high and low for this drama, it's been very difficult to track down. It starts off brilliantly and ends well, some of the middle is a little bit padded.
The ending comes as a real surprise, not the outcome I was expecting.
It's a gorgeous looking drama, Paris and Oxford, what finer cities could you wish to see, the visuals and acting are the best elements.
The music is pretty horrible, it's so dated, and so intrusive, I think some scenes would have worked a lot better if they'd toned the noise down a bit.
Terrific acting, Janet McTeer is the standout, Imelda Staunton and Bill Nighy are very good in support.
It's worth a look, 7/10.
