WWE SmackDown! Live commissioner Shane McMahon is battling multiple injuries after a stunt gone wrong.
The 47-year-old longtime wrestling personality found himself in the ring at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Sunday, battling longtime rival Kevin Owens, 33.
While the two exchanged their fair share of headbutts and clothesline dives on the floor and on top of the SmackDown!‘s “Hell in a Cell” cage, all went wrong when McMahon jumped from the top of the structure and down 20 ft. to the ground in an effort to knockout Owens.

It's no secret that Pottery Barn is known for a certain all-American aesthetic that appeals to audiences far and wide. Something about the brand's reclaimed vibe (read: casual but still upscale) makes it a hit among housewives and college kids alike. The one factor that makes it not so relatable? The high price tag. As popular as the store's selection of coffee tables, mirrors and anything else you could possibly need to outfit your house might be, it's not always within budget. No fear, though. "I was busy looking at a tag, Nahla was very little," the 50-year-old actress revealed of her now-9-year-old daughter. "She was there, I looked around, and she was not there. And you have that moment where I was like, 'Shut the store! Shut the doors!'

Halle Berry can drink!
The 50-year-old actress shocked fans -- and her co-stars -- by apparently downing a pint of bourbon at the San Diego Comic-Con's panel for Kingsman: The Golden Circle on Thursday.
Exclusive: Taron Egerton Says 'Kingsman 2' Will 'Blow Everyone Away'
Berry plays Agent Ginger Ale in the upcoming Kingsman sequel, so Et's Kevin Frazier had to ask if it was really bourbon she was drinking.
"I'm a little drunk right now!" she joked on the red carpet post-panel. "No, just kidding!...I never drink and tell! Let that be a mystery to the world."
"Never dare a girl like me to do anything," she added. "Because I just take the challenge."

Since Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired from the Han Solo film, Lucasfilm is on the hunt for a new director to take their place and finish the movie.
Ron Howard, Lawrence Kasdan, and Joe Johnston are all said to be in the running to direct but there's another filmmaker who's throwing his name into the hat and he says he'll direct it for free!
That filmmaker is Kyle Newman, who directed the wonderful Star Wars-inspired film Fanboys. When some of his fans started to suggest that he should take over as the director for Han Solo, he responded with a series of tweets saying:
"I'm available. To be honest, I'd kill it. Was born for it. And know Solo inside out. And am free. As in I would cost zero dollars. I'm not shiny and new. But goddamn could I direct the f**k out of some Star Wars. I have my doctorate in it after all. No fear. Only adrenaline. If it's Star Wars, then I'm your guy. Period. I know Solo inside and out. You'd enjoy my Han Solo radio dramas recorded live at the past three domestic Sw Celebrations. I truly feel like I'm wasting my life Not working on Star Wars in some capacity. I would go supernova and blow people's minds."
The guy is obviously super confident in himself. And you know what? He probably would do a great job! The guy completely understands the character and the Star Wars universe and he could probably do some great things with it. He went on to say:
"It could be a great film and will be a great film."
Then when commenting on Lord and Miller he said:
"Those guys are great and their DNA will still be all over it."
That is unless Lucasfilm decides to start all over again from scratch. Newman also suggested another person that would be a great fit as a director to take on the film. That someone is Dave Filoni, director of the Clone Wars animated series and executive producer of Star Wars Rebels.
That's an awesome suggestion as well that I think fans would flip over! Even though Newman is willing to do it for free, I doubt Lucasfilm will even consider him. I don't think they would take risk after what they just went through with Lord and Miller. It'd be pretty awesome if they did take the risk, though!

No good deed goes unpunished, especially on social media. Just ask Halle Berry. The former “X-Men” star stripped down to pay tribute to legendary singer/activist Nina Simone on Instagram on Tuesday, and ended up being dragged by a hater who called her a “desperate tramp.” The post consisted of a photo of a clothing-free Berry, partially obscured by the frosted glass of a door, along with a quote from Simone. In The Overlook, A.V. Club film critic Ignatiy Vishnevetsky examines the misfits, underappreciated gems, and underseen classics of film history.
“I want the racists to talk like racists. For a film on robbery, I’d ask someone to steal. But even if it’s a fake theft, I’d be an accomplice, even if I’m filming.”
—Jean Rouch, La Pyramide Humaine
How many white filmmakers have actually addressed the nitty-gritty, insidious social constructions of race and racism? France has produced two important ones. The one who is better known now is Claire Denis, who grew up in Africa in the 1950s and 1960s as the daughter of a French civil servant, moving around present-day Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Somalia, and Djibouti. (I wrote about No Fear, No Die, her excellent existentialist noir about two black immigrants who go to work for a cockfighting ring in a...

If President Trump was hoping for a little peace and quiet with his family at Mar-a-Lago (aka the “winter White House”), chanting protesters across the street from the swanky Florida resort saw to it that did not happen. Saturday night, upwards of 3,000 anti-Trump activists marched from Trump Plaza, along the Intracoastal Waterway with several hundred protesters planting themselves at the bridge across from Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach Post reports. Armed with signs, drums, glow sticks and lungs prepared for shouting, they chanted in rhythm: “Hey-hey, ho-ho, Donald Trump has got to go.” “This is what democracy looks like.” “No hate! No fear!

Nina Simone's family is "not upset" with Zoe Saldana after all. A poster and trailer for the biopic Nina were released earlier this week. To portray the late R&B singer, Saldana wore a prosthetic nose and dark makeup. In response to the casting backlash, she quoted Simone on Twitter Tuesday. A verified tweet from Simone's estate slammed her immediately after, writing, "Cool story but please take Nina's name out your mouth. For the rest of your life." With songs like "Mississippi Goddam" and "Why (The King of Love Is Dead)," Nina Simone earned a reputation as the voice of the civil rights movement as racial tensions reached a peak in the 1960s. Now, Simone's life is once again coming to the fore thanks to the upcoming biopic Nina, with Zoë Saldana drawing controversy for portraying the legendary musician. Wladimir Klitschko and Hayden Panettiere's baby girl will grow up with No Fear of the ocean -- not as long as her giant of father keeps toting her around like this. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice by Ian Edginton and Robert Deas. Self Made Hero, 144 pages. $19.95 retail hardcopy; also available in electronic editions.
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that I’m a huge Jane Austen fangirl. I make no apologies. I made my husband take me to the Jane Austen museum in Bath for my 40th birthday. I own every version of every Jane Austen movie made – retellings too. As a matter of facet, I collect adaptations in every form from the sublime (The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Bridget Jones, Clueless) to the abusively bad (Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict is currently in my car’s CD player right now, but I’m powering through because I am not a quitter.) I’ve read Pride and Prejudice annually since I was 19 – and it’s not even my favorite Austen novel (that would be Persuasion, which I also read...

George R.R. Martin originally planned different fates for Game Of Thrones’ Daenerys, Jaime, Tyrion, Sansa, Arya, Catelyn, Robb and more…
Warning: contains spoilers for Game Of Thrones seasons 1-4.
There’s something irresistible about looking back on the humble beginnings of the enormously famous. That snap of Barack Obama as a toddler standing in the Hawaiian surf, the original lyrics of Bowie hits scribbled on scraps of 1960s lined paper, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s crossed-out opening lines for a story called A Study In Scarlet… Now, from the offices of HarperCollins via Waterstones and Winter Is Coming, comes another gem: George R.R. Martin’s original outline for A Song Of Ice And Fire.
Martin’s three-page letter was faxed in October 1993, three years before A Game Of Thrones was published. In it, the author lays out plans for his planned “epic trilogy” (so epic, it gradually stretched from three...

In a packed, standing-room-only South Carolina courtroom, seven black men in their 70s stood - or raised their hands - as their names were called and the dockets from their Feb. 1, 1961 convictions recited: "Offense, Trespassing; Disposition, guilty; Sentence, $100 or 30 days hard labor. Conditions, sent to chain gang." Fifty-four years after those men, most of them students at Rock Hill's Friendship College, served their 30 days for peacefully sitting down at a segregated lunch counter in Rock Hill, South Carolina, their convictions were overturned Wednesday morning to a standing ovation. South Carolina's 16th Circuit solicitor, Kevin Brackett, offered the still-living members of...

I can't wait to see some footage from Marvel's Daredevil series. So far I like everything I've seen and heard about the show, but it's time to see the Man with No Fear in action!
Sadly, all I have for you today is another new still, which you can see below.
The synopsis:
Marvel's Daredevil is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.
Daredevil will stream on Netflix some time in the spring of this year.

Thanks to Just Jared, we now have our first look at British thesp Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. Cox portrays Murdock in the upcoming TV series, which will stream from Netflix as part of Marvel's ambitious deal with the online network- a deal that also includes three other Marvel shows.
We can see the scarring near his eyes, possibly a by-product of the freak accident that left him blind as a child (which we exclusively brought you pictures of last month). And we can also see that he'll carry a walking stick. Check out the pics below:
The series will also star Vincent D'Onofrio , Rosario Dawson, and Deborah Ann Woll. Daredevil will join Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones on Netflix, with ambitious plans for a Defenders mini-series event on the network also in the pipeline.
What do you think of Murdock's look? Does Charlie Cox fit...

Drew Cullingham, writer/director of the Western vampire flick Umbrage: The First Vampire, returns with The Devil’s Bargain, a apocalyptic tale set in 1974 and shot on a shoestring budget in twenty-four hours over four days, using an experimental ‘pinhole’ technique and distributed outside the UK’s censorship regime via streaming service Distrify.
With earth about to be obliterated by a massive asteroid, Adi (Hurn) and his young wife Ange (Farnworth), haunted by memories of the death of their son, journey to the idyllic rural setting where he was conceived, determined to shed clothes, inhibitions and psychological traumas before the planet is destroyed forever. But the arrival of Luca (Burman), a charismatic and mysterious young photographer, turns what’s left of their world upside-down and the horror to come is of biblical proportions.

It.s no secret that Nicolas Cage is one of the industry.s biggest comic book fans. Few could have matched his massive collection of old comics back in the day, when he changed his surname to reflect his love of the Marvel Comics character Luke Cage. He was almost Tim Burton.s Superman, and at one point he could have been Sam Raimi.s Green Goblin - but naming a child Kal-El was the closest he came to comic immortality. He eventually featured in two Ghost Rider movies, but by then, it seemed as if Cage.s passion for comic book heroes, and big blockbusters, had waned. It looks like that might all change with his latest, Men With No Fear. Cage will play Marvel.s Daredevil, the horned hero wh- wait, no? Oh? Wait, so this is something different? You specifically said Man Without Fear. What the hell,...

It's a fairly common story in Hollywood. Once an actor reaches a certain age, the roles offered him more often than not are going to involve his character getting brutal revenge against those that have wronged him or his family. While Kevin Costner and Liam Neeson might be relative newbies to the special skills game, Nicolas Cage has been honing his revenge craft for year. With any luck we'll be seeing even more Nic vengeance in the upcoming thriller Men With No Fear. Cage is in talks to play the lead role of Marty "The Mule," a man framed for a crime he didn't commit by the drug kingpin who also stole his son and raised him as his own, all of which makes us wonder if they are writing these movies off some kind of wonderful cinematic Mad Lib.

It's clear, looking at his career, that Nicolas Cage has no fear of potential embarrassment in his roles. He’ll be keeping it a little more restrained – at least, it appears he will – for a new crime thriller called Men With No Fear.Cage is in talks to star in Spanish writer-director Paco Cabezas’ new film, which boasts Bryan Singer as an executive producer. The plot focuses on Marty The Mule, recently sprung from the slammer after he spent time thanks to his old boss, a small-time crook who set him up.The small fry criminal has since gone on to become a powerful, ruthless drug lord and, to add insult to impending injury (it’s a crime thriller: someone’s going to be punched/stabbed/shot), has raised Marty’s son. 2013 was a monumental year for Sheffield’s finest rock stars. On its release, their scintillating fifth album, ‘Am’, skyrocketed to number one, becoming the fifth successive commercial approval of a band, who in style and attitude, are as individual as they come. Sitting in high positions on many publications’ ‘Best Albums 2013’ lists (apart from a rather spiteful omission from indier-than-thou hipsters, Pitchfork Media), ‘Am’ was the sound of a band at the peak of their powers and their funky, resplendent best. Performing the album to hoards of screeching fans on a sell-out UK tour, the Brylcreem’d lotharios of soul-exposing rock had one of the best years of their young careers.
But aside from all of the hype where does the current, hormone heavy vibe of the Monkeys sit alongside their former incarnations? Which begs the further questions- ‘Is ‘Humbug’ really the sore thumb that every claims it is?’ Or...
