There are at least seven different aircraft shown in what is supposed to be a two-ship dogfight.
The aircraft used by Col. Banning and Capt. Holiday change on different occasions throughout the movie. For example, we see Col. Banning in a dog-fight sitting in his F-16 but after his landing he steps out from a Russian-made MiG-29.
All planes on the ground (mostly MiG-29s, and MiG-21s at the end) have Hungarian ensigns (red-white-green triangle) and different paintworks used by different Hungarian units.
Toward the end of the opening credits, the general sits at a desk to read a confidential memo. The last visible line of the memo says "This report covers an investigation into the events and circumstances regarding the downing of Capt. John Holiday on 04SEP1997." But the top of the memo carries the date: 12 DEC 1991
The two Mi-17 HIP helicopters change into Mi-24 HINDs and then back again.
