Clips of Elizabeth Berkley from a previous unreleased film were originally edited (without her consent) into this movie as flashback sequences in 1996, in order to exploit her popularity after the released of Showgirls (1995). When the movie was picked up for video distribution in 2003, Elizabeth Berkley's clips and name were largely used in the official trailer. Berkley sued the filmmakers, as she had not granted permission to use her likeness so all her scenes and name had to be quickly removed from the released film. A black line is still visible in the titles roll, covering Berkley's name.
