Ralph Bushman made 25 films as Francis X. Bushman, Jr. This is the seventh, and to judge from his acting here, he offered his famous dad little in the way of competition. The movie's plot follows a familiar path and the only reason I kept watching is that I expected it to come to a really bang-up conclusion. But this doesn't happen. Right triumphs, of course, but there's no climactic, bang-up fight with the bad guy. Incidentally, Bushman is not the only one cashing in on a famous name here. Our attractive heroine, Flobelle Fairbanks, was not usually billed under that name at all. She was usually billed (when she was credited at all) under her real name, Florence Fair. She was, however, related to Douglas Fairbanks. She was actually his niece. Available on a very good Grapevine DVD.
