Entertaing quota quickie musical

Warning: Spoilers
This is quite an entertaining musical notwithstanding its budgetary restraints. Jack donohoe ,who became an established dance director in america shows his skills with some excellent tap dancing and a finale, which resembles the 1935"Lullaby Of Broadway"number on a small scale.

He is paired here with his Norweigian wife. Both are excellent dancers but not great on the vocals.

The plot would appear to be drawn from the actors real life experiences.

Of additional interest is a very early appearance by Terry-Thomas as a drunk dancer. Vic Olivers gag of badly playing a violin is oft repeated and gets a bit wearing.

Robb Wilton is listed on these pages as appearing, but i did not spot him and his name does not appear in the credits.

Finally i note that Michael Balcon is listed as producer, however he is not credited on screen. At the time he was head of production at Gaumont British,so this is a bit puzzling.
