One of the most touching TV movies in a long time.
Georgie-729 September 1998
I knew this would be a good movie, but I did not know that it would be this great! I thought it was very emotional and very believable. The scene where the woman sees her daughter again after being in a coma for twenty years is so touching. I am so glad I taped it, because I know I'll want to watch it over

and over, and pass it on to friends! I loved it!!

We love Reba, but OH, that voice!
dansome8 April 1999
This was a truly moving film--not terribly predictable even though the story has been done before. The one negative comment I have to make is this: as much talent as Reba has as an actress, I don't believe anyone else could get away with that speaking voice! Reba is so well-known for her singing, but that same voice, when speaking, is deep and grating. We put up with it because it is Reba, but like I said, no one else could get away with it. Also, in the story, they claim she grew up in San Diego. With that Okie accent? See the film, but listen with a "grain of salt".

This is an AWESOME movie!!!
eastiveym3 July 2005
OK, Forever Love is terrific! Even though i only see it twice a year because thats the only times I see it on television. Reba plays a great character. She is trapped in a coma for a really long time, and when she wakes up, everything is different. It gets very interesting as the movie gets deeper in the story. I give it 10 stars, and i find it to be Reba's best movie, even though i have only seen 2 of them. But it is my all time favorite movie, and if you love Reba as a singer, you will love her as an actress as well!!! So don't hesitate to watch this movie, it is the greatest movie in my book, and everyone deserves a chance to see it. If you ever DO get the chance to see it, whether or not you are a Reba McEntire fan, watch it. It totally rules

Reba can do it all.
oldfashiongirl3314 February 2007
Forever Love proves Reba's ability to capture an audience not only through her music, but through her acting. Reba's emotional performance goes to show that she can do anything she takes on and draw people to it. Forever Love tackles issues that one may not realize could happen. This emotional movie bring home values that touch the heart and enable one to express empathy. Even if some think the movie's plot is not easy to believe, it would hold anyone's attention who is human, let alone a romantic. Forever Love also has an amazing supporting cast who show their talents as well. It is easy for one to be drawn into the story line and feel connected to each character. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has a heart and who is a fan of Reba. Just let yourself get lost in the characters and the meaning of Forever Love.

Forever Great!
Justen19 November 1998
I think this movie took a lot of great acting, talent, which Reba McEntire and her co-stars had. This is by far the best 'made-for-TV' movie I've ever watched. I think this could very easily sell millions on video... And the song Forever Love and All This Time only accent the marvelous movie it really is. Check it out! Reba McEntire - If You See Him

This movie shows how a great an actress Reba is! This was a fantastic movie! I just wish they would hurry up and release it so the public can buy. Once again, Reba has done a top performance. I believe when this video hits the stores, it going to sell fast.

Forever Love
bfercity20002 January 2006
I have been a Reba fan since day one. Forever Love as a song sold the movie to me.This is such a good love story that everything is included in the movie. I am waiting until Friday night to see the movie once again. This time I am taping since the stores around here has never had it on video. Reba has never sang or acted bad on anything she did. She has a lot of talent. Tim does a good job as well in acting. He took his wedding vows serious. Bess Armstrong helped with the daughter. She was always there for anyone to lend a hand. It is no wonder that her feelings were the way the were. This all combined is what makes a true romance movie. We all need to see more of these.Keep up the good work Reba.

Don't miss this little gem.

I watched this film for the first time today, and was compelled to tell others about it. I was totally wrapped up in the story almost from the "git-go". The writing, direction, photography and acting are for the most part, flawless. I'll not offer any (spoiler) comments, but if you want a great love story, this is it! Tim and Reba are just amazing, the chemistry between these two terrific actors is nothing short of Oscar worthy. If you are not a fan of Reba McEntire as an actress, you will be after seeing and "feeling" her rip your heart out a couple of times during this film. Find this wonderful movie, curl up with your wife/hubby/lover and prepare yourself for an amazing, emotional couple of hours. I'll bet you will have much closer feelings toward certain others after seeing this film, go ahead, if I'm wrong, post a note. P.S. Not that it really matters, but I'm a 60 year old 'Nam vet. Yeah, us old guys love tear jerkers too!

First-rate Romance
BLuper28345 January 2002
FOREVER LOVE will be an overall hit with helpless romantics. Tim Matheson gives his usual fine performance.Although I am personally a fan of Reba McEntire, she is not a believable match for Matheson's character,Alex Brooks. Her thick country accent grates on the nerves of even the most loyal of fans.Reba's character,Lizzie Brooks is very likeable, but once again, unbelievable.Tim Matheson seems to have been created to play the role of"romantic leading man." His performance in "Forever Love" is no exception. In this romance Tim Matheson shines, but Reba McEntire could use some polish.Although the story-line may seem trite to some,it is a delight to romantics such as myself. This is definitely a film that I would like to add to my collection!

The greatest movie I've ever seen.
typegirl23 January 2001
Reba McEntire was so awesome in this heart-warming movie of the 90's! I haven't stopped thinking about it since I last saw it last, which was a re-rerun. I enjoyed the re-run as much as I did the first run. I commend all involved, they all played their parts so well. Thanks for sharing such great talent through such a wonderful, wonderful movie. We need more like this one!

Fine, sensitive work
joyspring727 August 2004
I must take issue with the young girl. This film has struck me deeply, a 47 yo man, as a fine piece of sensitive and well done work. I was impacted positively by many aspects. The key one is the performance of all four main characters. Reba is obviously visually stunning, and works through the emotions very convincingly and poignantly. My wife and I just completed a 4 year victorious battle against cancer on her part...and this movie MOVED me deep inside. Reba is a world class vocalist too! Her husband also wrestled well his role as a flawed and vulnerable man in great pain. The other woman was initially selfless, then flawed, and finally courageous and selfless to get out of the way. The daughter is a developing young actress...and expect she would do well in the future. This film makes me want to follow up other works by these three women.

Not Reba's greatest accomplishment
jewelp2411 May 2002
I was so excited when I spotted this movie at the the video store. I'd been wanting to see it forever and finally I could. Well, it was just the kind of movie you'd expect to find on TV really late at night, with dull colors, a score played by violins on high notes, and not much excitement. About half way through, I got bored and turned it off. This doesn't necesarily mean it was a bad movie. I'm only 13 and not much for dramas, so someone a little older might like it. Reba's a fantastic actress and her show is fabulous, but I thought this movie was dull.

Extraordinary wonderful film! Reba shines!
msvarniej25 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Reba and the Brooks, a real love story from start to finish, as is poignantly portrayed mostly as flashbacks as Lizzie visions so clearly while in a coma. Only a young woman in her 20s, she suddenly becomes unconscious and the only thing to do is wait. Her little girl is only about 11 at the time. Her husband truly fulfills his vows by caring for her in their home. When she wakes the world has drastically changed and she feels like a real stranger to all she knows. It will be a hard fought battle to begin to find her place all over again. It is an incredible heart breaking yet wonderful story.
