For some reason, Ginger Nutt's "friends" again try to interfere with his romantic endeavors, to their own misfortune
llltdesq7 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This short is part of the Animaland series produced by David Hand and features Ginger Nutt, his girlfriend and other animals in their forest, including a rather obnoxious crow who starts a good deal of mischief. There will be spoilers below:

The short starts with an owl delivering mail and knowing a great deal about the contents of the mail he delivers. The crow calls him over, only to find that there is no mail for him. He sees the owl deliver a letter to Ginger Nutt and learns that it is a scented love letter from Ginger's girlfriend, Hazel.

Somehow, the crow gets the notion in his head that it would be fun to disrupt Ginger's plans to take flowers to Hazel and enlists the help of two others-a mole and a rather dim-witted rabbit to help him prevent Ginger from gathering his flowers.

The three mistakenly irritate a bee, who then gets even and the three wind up the worse for wear, while Ginger finally wins out.

The Animaland shorts, at least those which survive, have been released on a DVD and are well worth watching. Recommended.

Ginger Nutt's Bee-Bother is another discovery of mine from David Hand Productions
tavm6 May 2008
This is another Animaland cartoon short from David Hand Productions in England that provides the charm one would expect from Walt Disney which shouldn't be surprising since Hand once worked for him. It concerns the title character getting a love letter from his girlfriend Hazel and his three "friends"-a mole, a rabbit, and a crow who retrieved the torn contents-attempting to keep him from delivering flowers to her. Unfortunately for them, a bee that the squirrel almost completely upset from his slumber gets in the way...This heartwarming and funny cartoon provides plenty amusing moments involving the principals that put a great big smile on my face once it was all over. Hope what I just said was enough for anyone who loves animation and has yet to discover these rare cartoons from another country to seek these out. I found this one on Federator.
