This film contains the first known use of a hidden camera for scenes of diners and dancers at the Ansonia Hotel in New York without the knowledge of these unpaid extras. According to "The Guinness Book of Movie Facts and Feats" there was no other known use of this technique until Russian filmmaker Dziga Vertov used it in 1924 for his feature length documentary, "Kino-Eye.'
