I found this Czech film classic, of the thirties to be very interesting. As much as i did not understand what they were saying, I kind of found the story ,a little.Vera Ferbasova, was one of those stars of the Czech film industry in the Thirties.Although you did have Adina Mandalova and Lida Barova too ,Goebbels ex girl, As the other Czech film stars. This film combines a little Major and the Minor and My man Godfrey. Although the musical numbers are slightly off timing its still funny.Vera plays Floral, who either attends a girls school or college. She discover her favorite celebrity , A dare devil flier, is going to show up at the hotel With the help of her school chumps, she makes up that one of her relative died to the head principle, so she can go.At the hotel his family goes there to meet him. His well to do Father and her mother and his two sister one, one Bessie with a Italian Fiancé , who's really after her money. There is a hotel clerk, who stutters in Czech, Whom the other sister, also blond, falls in live with.There is fun loving pleasure seeker who owes a big bill in the hotel .But as he about to sell his shirt and watch , somebody offer to pay for his bill. It seems that the Italian fiancé wants to hire him against Bessie in attempt to call it off? To get money out of her?It was hard for me to tell.He becomes interested in her mother later on almost forgetting his false Italian accent going to a french language.Well Flora shows up.But is unable get a room at the hotel. Everyone on the hotel goes out side to See the dare devil do his crazy stunts and land and meet his family. Floral attempts to meet the dare devil , so she can get a big kiss from him but the hotel manager and others prevents her from seeing him.So she goes to the children clothe store and buys under age clothes and pretends to be a 8 year old lost niece and finally get into the family reunion. Still with make up on , every one believes that she's under age She ends up in a worser situation , she goes to their palatial house and is force to get tutored.Well the man who was hired to make trouble with Bessie ends up falling in love her.The father of Florine shows up at school to discover she took off. So he offers a reward to find her.It's during the family party that Bessie falls in love with The phony and calls of the engagement to the Gigolo off. The police goes to the house cause the phony is accused of being a criminal and haves him arrested and Vera for the reward. Well, pa pa Comes to rescue Vera and she and her pilot fall for each other . Bessie and her true love are reunites and the whole cast ends up having supper with the family. If I knew Czech better I would have know more clearly of the plot and story but I feel I have come close to it.
