Due to the prostitution theme the film was rejected for UK cinema in 1961 and eventually passed uncut for DVD in 2008 with a 15 rating.
All the incidents in the film were staged. The "prostitutes" were in fact au pairs recruited from nearby coffee bars, and their "clients" were played by friends of the crew. One of them, Nat Mills, is the director's uncle.
