The plot of Hell Spa has been done before in anthologies and tv shows. A weight loss program run by the devil. If you fail your goal you will lose a limb to drop those lbs.
The problem here is that at 100+ minutes it's interminably boring. We know what's going on almost immediately and there's nothing else to sustain the plot.
The 80s gifted us with some wonderfully cheesy health club horror such as Killer Workout and Death Spa. None of that fun is to be found in Hell Spa. With barely any gym footage, the muscle people are working most here is their mouth.
Less than a decade later the director used the majority of this footage in a movie called Club Dead. You couldn't pay me to watch it.
