Sex & Nudity

  • No sex or nudity in this special. But a suggestive detail occurred in the "Grinch Night Ball" sequence where the Grinch was pretending to dance with someone (in his imagination), briefly showing his hand rubbing on top of this head, imagining someone is rubbing his head.

Violence & Gore

  • During one scene, the Grinch chases a Wuzzy Woozoo. His wagon then moves so fast that it crashes into a tree stump, sending him flying through the air. (This can be played for laughs.)
  • As the grinch travels to Whoville on "Grinch Night", his wagon crashes into a bramble bush and he is covered in stickers.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The demons in the Grinch's wagon might be too frightening for children under 5 years old.
  • The appearance of what are supposed to be white-hooded ghosts strongly resemble Ku Klux Klan members, which may be concerning to some viewers. Of course.
  • Another creature is shown to resemble a four-legged Swastika.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The last part of the musical number "I Wouldn't Go Out on A Night Like This" may be unsettling to some, as it states "$66,600,000.66". If you pay attention, it's a pun to 666 (the notorious number of the mark of the beast).
