- There are many scenes of violence. Among them include: violence against youths by adults, forced poisoning against an incapacitated monarch, and many instances of cartoonish violence against the comic relief toady.

- One of the mokeys living in the trees smokes a pipe. A key plot factor revolves around the slow poisoning of the princess. Towards the end, one of the protagonists takes the poison meant as a lethal dose for the princess and dumps it into the mouth of one of the antagonists.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The ice cracks underneath an excursion party and most of them are assumed to drown. A few are shown going under. A tiger is shown in several scenes threateningly stalking. There is a scene involving arson, where the perpetrator briefly ends up trapped inside the burning structure.
