- TriviaThe topless scenes were intended to be played by Pepper Thurston, but she refused at the last minute, and since the investors insisted the film contain nudity, writer Carla Rueckert performed the scenes under a pseudonym. They were the first scenes shot.
- Alternate versionsUnited Home Video/VCI released two different versions, both of which lacked the original title screen. One version opens with syth music by Craig Keller and Russell McFarland over titles that credit them after screens for "Jeffrey C. Hogue presents" and "Invasion of the Girl Snatchers". This version also cuts to a title card for Majestic International Pictures soon after the characters drive off at the end of the film, while the other version continues with the chast of characters, a screen for Copyright 1973 L & L-Atlantis, and "The End".

First off, it must be stated that other reviewers are absolutely correct that THE HIDAN OF MAUKBEIANGJOW is likely the worst title for any movie, ever.
It's another of those wonky 1970's films. It's a horror-sci-fi "comedy" that has a few rare comic moments to offset the mostly leaden "humor". Preposterous by design, the story is about a team of investigators following a cult that's been abducting women for use in their bizarre rituals.
Apparently, this cult is creating an army of alien-possessed, killer hippie zombies.
The whole thing is looney, the characters are all nearly comatose, yet it's oddly watchable. Like watching a two-headed chipmunk fight itself over a peanut...
