Heroine Chic

I loved playing almost every moment of this game. The scenery and music, especially in Venice and Tibet, are fantastic and mesmerizing. Lara encounters mercenaries as well as wild animals, and some strange surprises that are best left to find out for yourself. Lara is one happening chic, a true heroine. She shows off her stuff and let's the crime bosses know who's the boss. I like this game because it has the style and scenery of an adventure game, the mind-challengers of a puzzle, and the action of a shooter, all with a woman in the lead. This one also requires a little more strategy than the first one, and isn't as hair-wrenching as the third. Just right.

I was certainly young and full of enthusiasm when I started playing Tomb Rider II, all the conditions were there for it to be an appreciable experience, I think it was the first time I finished a game almost in one go playing day in and day out. Night, simply unforgettable. After finishing the game I went around the city and instinctively looked at all the cracks in the walls where I could find a valid hold, incredible! I really immersed myself in the story despite the fact that, due to a regrettable habit of mine, I have never been passionate about female characters, either in games or at the cinema. Laura was the first protagonist to totally involve me and the first truly important experience on console!

This game is even more difficult than the original, but once again the game's Music and Graphics make up for it. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Graphics make up for bad Gameplay, but, that's where the Gameplay itself comes to mention, despite being difficult, the controls are easy to get used to, but specifics areas are more difficult than others.

This is the Tomb Raider I play the most of in the series.

Lara Croft, 1997. Reason to upgrade your system. Technology meets mass production meeting the art of videogaming. In Pacman (1980) you were responsible for the hero moving in a maze with enemies and bonus items ... Now with graphic cards and memory and cpu upgrades, Tomb Raider II or the Lara Croft legend starts here. A classic.

The best script of the trilogy

The sequel of the legendary Tomb Raider has much more to offer than its ancestor. Lets begin with Lara Croft - our heroine. She has a better body and face, smoother movement and more moves. Her little bag now contains more and better weapons such as grenade launcher and the ultimate Uzi's and M16. But it doesn't stop here. The enemies have a better IQ which can cause you really many troubles. The graphics are corrected but they still have some minor problems. Now the script...the whole case is to find a stiletto with magic powers that was once in a dragons body. Trying to find it you will travel to the Great Wall, to Venice and other great places. If you haven't played it yet, the first video-game you should buy is Tomb Raider 2!I put 8 out of 10.

Even better then first game! It's an improvement in many ways!

Tomb Raider 2 is the Second TR game I played after the first game. I loved the first game so much I wanted to try every Tomb Raider afterwards. Tomb Raider 2 imo is the best game in the old series made by Core Design for loads of reasons. A lot of fans do claim it be the best and I have to agree 100%. The first thing is the graphics look a lot better then the first. Lara now has a ponytail you can see in game, The levels are bigger with more exploring involved, The game has bigger arsenal of weapons to choose from, The game has more moves, Laras home is more enjoyable since you now have the ability to go outside, I could go on. The music, atmosphere, graphics, controls are also great. Lara controls more easily then before even if they are still tank like. The game is just epic all around with a lot going for it. Tomb raider 2 is a worthy sequel to the first and is defiantly worth playing if you loved the first game. The game may have more urban environments to explore but there is still tomb raiding involved to give it more variety (Did I forget to mention this is first game in the series to give us vehicles to drive such as a boat in Venice and a snowmobile in Tibet!) . Tomb Raider 2 is a must play!

"Tomb Raider 2" was the first TR game I played. Since then, I've been a fan of the "Tomb Raider" series. "Tomb Raider 2" is a great game with cool characters, nifty weapons and vehicles, challenging but fun levels and lovely music.

The ultimate objective of "Tomb Raider 2" is to get the Dagger of Xian- a legendary dagger that will give the person holding it the power of the dragon- provided they have the courage to plunge the dagger into their heart. However, Lara Croft isn't the only one after the dagger. The Fiamma Nera (Italian for "Black Flame"), an evil cult lead by the sinister Marco Bartoli, are hellbent on getting the dagger before any one else can, and will stop at nothing to get it. Not only that, but the warrior monks of Tibet don't want anyone taking the dagger at all- including Lara.

"Tomb Raider 2" has a brilliant plot, a cleverly written script and overall is a compelling, fun game to play. A definite must play game.

Tomb Raider, the sequel to Tomb Raider 1 must i say more. This Tomb Raider has got to be the best Tomb Raider of them all. The story is just plain better than all of them together. The latest Tomb Raider 4 was just too plain confusing, and 3 was o.k. but it was missing something. The only thing that was good in Tomb Raider 3 would have to be probably the dune buggy. Tomb Raider 2. The story was great but it could have improved a bit, and i think a lot of people would agree with me on that one.

Good follow up

This was a good solid sequel to number 1. It had a good story and good gameplay. This one gives Lara some more actions and a few more things to do. Now still sticking with the first one here. Lara still had the right voice and the right personality, but she lacked the charisma and toughness she had in the first game. She was more confused and scared through out the game than anything.

Other than the minor flaws this game had it still is a great game to play. My rating 8/10

One of Sony´s best

Tomb Raider 2 is one of Sony´s best games ever. Very good sequel to nr 1. Lara´s movement looks good. But this is more difficult than nr 1.

I think Tomb Raider 1 & 2 is the best in the series, nr 5 is the worst. It has absolutely nothing to give that we already have not seen. I hope that they do something new with Lara & Tomb Raider for Play Station 2. I can´t wait to see the movie with sugar babe Angelina Jolie. She is perfect for the role and i hope that they use elements from the game. So we can feel that we watch a Tomb Raider movie. Tomb Raider 1 & 2 along side with Resident Evil series & final Fantasy series are the best of Sony and game history.
