The film was considered to be lost since its original release. However, Full Moon was able to find a copy of the original negative in the UCLA archives (donated by an anonymous source), was remastered in HD and made its debut on April 8th 2022.
The movie was actually directed by one Carlo Bokino, who according to Charles Band was actually Michael Pataki, also starring as the lead protagonist. "I put my energy into raising money, finding money, borrowing money to make this little movie which was directed by Michael Pataki (...) so I was not the director but I was a producer and found the money and developed it with Frankie (Ray Perilli)." * Excerpt from an interview conducted in 2011 for the book "Empire of the 'B's. The mad movie world of Charles Band".
Film was released in New York City with hard-core inserts, as per review in Screw, 17 June, 1974.
Near shot-for-shot spoof remake of The Last Tango in Paris.
The protagonist's love interest is called Maria. This is an in-joke on Maria Schneider, the female lead from The Last Tango in Paris.
