Good acting, better story idea, clumsy execution

The story idea for DVOJROLE could be right out of the Rod Serling's TWILIGHT ZONE. The story is part morality play, part science fiction, with an stinging twist towards the end.

Not to give too much of the story away, DVOJROLE is a what-if movie. What if a highly educated 70 year old lady and a young female street punk were in the same serious auto accident and, if their brains were to be exchanged or transplanted in each other, one of them might have a 100% full recovery, and if no brain transplant, both would be pretty much dead (one would be brain dead, and the other would be paralyzed from the neck down at best). What if?

The science fiction is unsupported in the movie and viewers are left to accept the key medical operation without any build-up.

After the operation, the lead character does not seem to feel the joy in achieving the universal human wish of the aged... becoming young again.

The script and the direction are weak, but the actors certainly do their best. The writer certainly did not have a firm grip on how to end the movie. Still, the final plot twist is quietly profound and viewers will have much to ponder.

DVOJROLE is flawed, but interesting.
