Sometimes a technical inadequacy in these "indies" masks something positive. Such is the case (I think) with this flick, which, by the way, displayed the title "Pure" to introduce the version which I watched. I'm not into "relationship"-type movies, but, at least this one delivers realistic dialogue. Trouble is that much of the speaking is so subdued that it's inaudible. Beyond this, I'm also at a loss for good words 'cause this bloke's just too dense, I guess, to keep up with - or appreciate - this picture's additional goings-on, which have to do with southern Cali artist, Port's lovers, addiction and painting, providing the ups and downs of this film. Therefore, for this viewer, the experience was largely a downer.

I NEED A FIX

Warning: Spoilers
Also goes under the title "I'm the Elephant, U Are the Mouse." This is a film about some lower tier Hollywood artists and wannabes, although the art wasn't too good. The film centers on Port (George Ferris) a heroin addict artist who can't get over Alice (J.C. Brandy) so he takes off to Mexico.
The characters are all overly pretentious and unlikable. The cheap dialogue adds to the overall boredom of the production.
Parental Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity (J.C. Brandy, Christina Una, plus others)
