- First in a Seven Up! (1964) like series examining the lives of three teenage girls in South Australia during the 1970s. A sort of 14Up Australia, the series has spawned three more installments and looks at issues such as boys and sex, abortion, marriage, pregnancy, career paths, and education.—Jamie Skinner
- Gillian Armstrong's first documentary following a group of three young working class women from Adelaide. The three - Josie, Diana and Kerry - are 14, and openly dicuss their lives with surprising frankness. They provide a candid look at youth in the 1970's, in an Australia long gone and in many cases forgotten. There is blue eye shadow, hints of glitter and many references to subcultures of the time.
Sometimes called the "Australian feminist 7Up", the three women, although young, talk about boys, family life, sex and abortion.
This is the first of currently five documentaries by Gillian Amstrong on these three woman and although very short, provides a fascinating profile of the views and dreams of young teenage women in Australia at the time.
