In the beginning nothing happened, later...

...nothing happened.

Unfortunately this movie is nothing but a big mistake by such a qualified Swedish director, Kjell Sundvall. And also two high-class actors, or at least one, Peter Haber.

The movie is dialogue, and more dialogue, and after 40 minutes nothing interesting had happened in the movie at all. This is a low-budget-flick with a lot of dialogue. It reminds me of another low-budget movie, with a lot of dialogue, that is on the other side of the grading scale, Clerks (1994) by Kevin Smith. Rent that instead and do not waste either time or money on this one.

A Really bad movie

Personally this is the most awful movie I have ever seen!! The story is so meaningless and the thing do not get started until the last 15 minutes. Not Kjell´s greatest and I recommend rather a Beck and this one...

Misunderstood masterpiece

When I talk to people and I mention this movie almost none have ever seen it. The few that have seen it always have the same opinion about it, they hate it. The most usual complaint is that almost nothing happens in the movie, but here's the kicker: It is not supposed to.

What the movie is trying to show is a normal day of two paranoid, hypochondriac and narcissistic writers. The dialogue is hilarious as they discuss everything from existential questions to potential conspiracies surrounding the murder of the Swedish prime minister Olof Palme.

Another thing that makes the movie great is the performances from the two lead actors, Dan Ekborg and perhaps Swedens best actor, Peter Haber. The chemistry between the two are fantastic and they really seem to have a fun time filming it.

I consider this to be Swedens most underrated movie ever and it is destined to reach cult status in the future. I will watch this movie many more times and I will lead the battle for this movie to get the recognition it deserves.
