A fine film with convincing acting
Simone Kurpershoek30 May 2001
When Jules Brasschaert, convicted and jailed for a crime he has committed several years ago, is pardoned he is a changed man. He found his peace with the help of his belief in God.

After a chance meeting with this man Susan burns her bridges to be with him. As it turns out she is to redeem herself of a childhood trauma.

While this is going on, Susan's fiancee is losing grips on his steady and well planned life and shows his true face.

Although the script is not perfect, I found myself attached to the characters. Every time I thought: 'why is she doing this?' or I thought of a flaw in the story, it took the film less then a minute to give the answer, or it made me accept the flaw.

The actors did a good job convincing me of their needs and personalities. I found this film to be a very cinematic one. Much more then most Dutch features aired on television. I gave it a 8/10.

Simone.
