Mayadevi, for the sake of her modeling career, compromises and gets pregnant. She abandons her child Suraj as soon as he is born. After 8 years, Suraj's caretaker dies, and fate brings the child back to Mayadevi. Mayadevi has a carefree and unethical lifestyle. Suraj comes to know that Mayadevi is his mother, and he wants her to accept him as her son, but she does not. This angers Suraj. He turns a rebel and vows to revenge. Suraj tries to kill Mayadevi, unsuccessfully though, and gets arrested. Police department's welfare officer Gill decides to turn Suraj to a good citizen. Suraj escapes jail. On the run, Suraj comes across Shashi, another victim of the male dominated society and an unmarried mother to be. Events leads Gill and Shashi to persuade Suraj to mend his ways. Mayadevi also accepts him as his son.
