Family Values Indeed
Bandwagon2 August 2000
Ahhh yes, the family values tour 98. At this time Korn was one of the biggest things in rock and roll. Limp Bizkit was shortly on there way to mega stardom. Rammstein was gaining many American fans with there industrial noise. Ice Cube was entertaining crowds everywhere and Orgy was bursting onto the scene with there somewhat melodic industrial rock. This is a good video that documents all these bands on the "Family Values tour 98", with interviews, little clips of some of the fun on the road, and of course what the video is all about, the live performances. All of these musicians can put on one heck of a performance and I was thoroughly entertained, (in my opinion limp bizkit steals the show). The footage was of good quality except for the song "All in the family" which is rather hard to make out the lyrics too. Other than that it is pretty good. This is a good video for fans of this style of music, people who missed the tour in the first place, and it will be good to watch again in 10 years and think..."How could I ever of liked this stuff?"... Check it out.

With the Internet, recordable compact discs, and mp3 technology well on its way to destroying the CD distribution market. DVD music videos are probably the recording industry's only saving grace, the sound and special added features completely destroys anything video can reproduce, and I'm eagerly awaiting the release of many of my favorite music videos onto this new medium. Like Pink Floyd: The Wall, The Family Values 1998 Tour is a video that I almost bought on compact disc when it was first released, and now I'm glad that I didn't. Now, not only do I get amazing 5.1 surround sound while listening to some great music, I also get the video images to go with it. The Family Values 1998 Tour is a video diary featuring talented musical acts such as: Orgy; Ice Cube; Rammstein; Korn, and ever popular Limp Bizkit. Lots of fun to be had while watching the Metal / Hip-Hop stage-diving festival. Some of the other footage that was filmed, and never used on the video, could have been added to the DVD to make it a little longer. When a disc can contain up to 2 hours plus of film, a fan can feel a little cheated when we pay over $30 bucks for a little over 80 mins of footage.

Great Video For A Great Tour

The Family Values Tour '98 was a great tour. I went to the concert and loved it. All performances were great from all the bands, Korn, Orgy, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Rammstein, and the opening band Incubus. I have the video and I re-live the experience of one of the greatest concerts I ever went to.

Rammstein

One question, I heard all the hype over this video" Oh yeah Limp Bizkit, Korn, Orgy, and Ice cube ruled the stage !", now what about Rammstein ? They were on that tour, and Live Aus Berlin really shows what a excellent concert band they are. Also they only play Du Hast on the video, and CD they have more better live songs then that ! To all the fans that started liking Rammstein after this tour, and feel mad about this video go buy Live Aus Berlin !
