The Below Deck Season 11 mid-season trailer has arrived, and it does not disappoint.
Last week, Below Deck lost Bosun Jared Woodin and Stew Cat Baugh for very different reasons.
Now, Bravo has given us a first look at what to expect from the rest of Season 11.
We know that a new deckhand and new stew will join the crew, with the preview footage giving more insight into both.
It should surprise no one that Bosun Ben Willoughby has the hots for the new Stew Paris Fields.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg of what’s coming up on Below Deck Season 11, so let’s take a look.
Captain Kerry Titheradge loses it as more Below Deck exits loom
The crew chaos is at an all-time high as the season hits the halfway point. Chief Stew Fraser Olender and Stew Barbie Pascual continue to butt heads with it reaching a boiling point.

Mark Wahlberg has admitted he wasn’t entirely happy while filming Martin Scorsese’s 2006 film The Departed.
Wahlberg played Sergeant Dignam, who worked in the Special Investigation Unit of the Massachusetts State Police Department, in the Boston-set film, which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin and Vera Farmiga, among others.
“I was a little pissed about a couple things but look, it all worked out in the end, I think,” Wahlberg said on the March 14 episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast.
“Originally I was supposed to play another part. Originally, I was supposed to get paid,” he said, without elaborating. “And then even when we kind of agreed that I would play Dignam and I saw the advantages of playing that part and how I would approach the situation with everybody else playing opposite me, I then had another movie after.

The third installment of the Sands: International Film Festival of St Andrews has set its slate, and that will include director Steven Soderbergh engaging in a conversation with directors Anthony and Joe Russo. I will moderate that discussion, which will touch on the preposterously unlikely way that Soderbergh discovered and godfathered the career of the duo that directed Hollywood’s all-time highest grossing film, Avengers: Endgame. The festival runs next month from April 19-21.
Soderbergh’s own career took off with sex, lies, and videotape, the film that just celebrated 35 years since the filmmaker turned Sundance into a lucrative independent film hatchery. It went on to win the Palme d’Or at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival, followed by Soderbergh’s first Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. He has gone on to direct films as diverse as Traffic, for which he received the 2000 Academy Award for Directing—the...

Following the blockbuster success of Barbie, Margot Robbie is tackling another famous IP. As first reported by Jeff Sneider and confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, a movie based on the popular video game franchise The Sims is currently being shopped to Hollywood studios by Robbie and her LuckyChap production company.
Kate Herrnon, who helmed the first season of Loki on Disney+, is on board to direct the film, and is also co-writing the screenplay with Briony Redman.
Similar to Barbie, The Sims has no real narrative or plot to go off of. Even so, studios no doubt have faith in Robbie, who, along with director/writer Greta Gerwig, turned Barbie into a billion dollar film franchise. A bidding war between studios and streams is unfolding as we speak.
As an added bonus, plenty of musicians are noted fans of The Sims, including Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, Japanese Breakfast, and Snail Mail,...

George Clooney’s renowned tequila brand Casamigos has managed to triumph over some notable celebrity alcohol brands, including Dwayne Johnson’s Teremana Tequila and Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin, in one significant metric that illustrates user interest and popularity.
According to a list shared by media brand Boardroom on Instagram, these businesses, alongside some other notable celebrity-backed alcohol companies, have raked in impressive search volume on Google.

However, outrivaling those numbers at the top is Casamigos, founded in 2013 by actor George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman. Since 2017, it has been owned by British multinational alcoholic beverage company Diageo. This is not an unusual feat for the tequila brand, as it leads several other reports with its stature as one of the best-ranking celebrity spirits brands.

If you haven’t taken the leap to bundle Disney+ and Hulu, it might be time. Streaming is only getting more expensive and competitive, and the enticing bundle (which also includes ESPN) might be a version of cable TV, but it’s also just cost efficient. Disney+ and Hulu are so intertwined that their monthly listing updates come in the same email — and as such, we decided to compile them here for you in the same list.
Whether you have Disney+ or Hulu, or both (and the IndieWire staff has weighed on our favorites), each has its benefits. Disney has the family-friendly titles, the Star Wars and Marvel (new episodes of “The Bad Batch” and “X-Men: 97” continue through April), while Hulu is the place to catch FX originals and network episodes. Both streamers have the rights to distribute National Geographic titles, which are well worth exploring along with the rest of the library.

Amidst the acclaim that The Godfather received from all fronts, there was one influential critic of the movie — Frank Sinatra. The beef between Sinatra and the film began even before the start of filming. The singer and actor believed that one character in Mario Puzo’s novel, that of Johnny Fontaine, was modeled after him. On one occasion, Sinatra had a heated confrontation about this with Puzo where he threatened the author.
Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone in The Godfather
However, his threats on another occasion did not seem to bother singer Al Martino, who played the brief role of Johnny Fontaine in the film. In the end, all the efforts of Frank Sinatra to ruin The Godfather became futile as the movie became the biggest hit in Hollywood upon release.

Does Cat quit on Below Deck? It’s a question Below Deck fans can’t help but ask as Season 11 nears the halfway point.
Stew Cat Baugh hasn’t had the easiest time on Below Deck, even with Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry Titheradge working hard to ensure she’s good.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Below Deck fans have sounded off on the way Cat gets treated with kid gloves while Barbie Pascual takes heat from Fraser.
This week, we saw Cat call home and cry over not vibing with the St. David group.
Thanks to the previews for next week’s episode of Below Deck, the rumor mill is buzzing that Cat will quit the hit-yachting show.
After all, it certainly doesn’t seem like Fraser will fire her, despite Cat lacking as a stew.

A decade before Knight and Day was released, a movie like it would have killed with audiences: Come on, it starred Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz and looked to perfectly mash humor and action in a way that so few male/female-led action-comedies had for years. Yet, it didn’t connect. But why? There are a lot of reasons, really, and not just, as Roy Miller would say, “one of those things.” Through lousy marketing, hokey promotion, poorly timed sneak previews, and even Katie Holmes, Knight and Day fizzled, less “beautiful dress” than beautiful mess…But it did at least inspire a Bollywood remake, so suck on that, Vanilla Sky! Let’s find out: What Happened to this Movie?!

The Ocean’s trilogy of movies is confirmed for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK, with a release pencilled in for the end of April: more here.
Steven Soderbergh’s trilogy of Ocean’s films – Ocean’s 11, Ocean’s 12, Ocean’s 13 – brought together a starry ensemble cast for a trio of crime caper movies. Really successful ones at that, even if the sort-of twist in Ocean’s 12 continues to have a degree of Wtf did they really do that about it.

Jake Lloyd played Anakin Skywalker in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace and left the limelight shortly after the film’s release.
In a new interview, Lloyd’s mother, Lisa Lloyd, updated the public on her son and dispelled rumors that had plagued the Star Wars community for many years.
Lisa talked to Scripps News and said her son was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in 2008 after struggling and talking about living in different realities, seeing people with “black eyes,” and mentioning having conversations with The Daily Show host Jon Stewart.
On top of that, Jake seemed to have a neurological condition called anosognosia, which causes a patient to be in denial about their symptoms.
“He didn’t think he needed to take medication because he wasn’t sick,” Lisa said. “He didn’t think he needed to go to the therapist because there’s nothing wrong with him.

Coleman Hough, who received solo screenplay credit on the quirky Steven Soderbergh-directed improvisational films Full Frontal and Bubble, has died. She was 62.
Hough died Feb. 24 at the Actors Fund Home in Englewood, New Jersey, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, her friend Jennifer Romine told The Hollywood Reporter. She was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s when she was 42.
Full Frontal (2002), set in Hollywood and a film within a film, shot in 18 days using a consumer-grade digital camera and was the first produced screenplay by playwright and poet Hough.
Featuring Julia Roberts, Catherine Keener, David Hyde Pierce, Blair Underwood, David Duchovny and Jeff Garlin as a Harvey Weinstein type, it marked an extreme change of pace for Soderbergh, who was coming off Erin Brockovich (2000), an Oscar win for Traffic (2000) and Ocean’s Eleven (2001).

Real-life crime movies come with even more jeopardy because viewers know the criminals and victims are real. Heist movies often portray criminals as protagonists, making the audience root for them to succeed. Not all heist movies are based on real cases; most of them are works of fantasy.
Crime movies can take on a completely different tone when they are based on real life, and even heist movies often take inspiration from true stories. Movies based on real crimes are among the most popular in the crime genre. Goodfellas, The Untouchables and Zodiac all have added layers of jeopardy because the viewer knows that the criminals and the victims are all real. Heist movies don't take inspiration from real life as often as other crime movies. Heist classics like Point Break and Ocean's 11 are usually pure fiction.
The joy of heist movies is that the audience usually sides with the criminals.

Ocean's Eleven movies have a star-studded history over five decades, all revolving around charming thief Danny Ocean and his loyal crew. The films rely on charm, style, and cool, with varying levels of fun and enjoyment across the franchise sequels and spinoffs. The future of the Ocean's movies could feature a potential prequel series starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, keeping the heist legacy alive.
Including the original 1960 film, there are five Ocean's Eleven movies spanning almost five decades. Most people are familiar with Steven Soderbergh's 2001 remake of the original Ocean's Eleven movie. It became a beloved blockbuster and spawned two sequels directed by Soderbergh and an all-female spinoff directed by Gary Ross. The cast of Steven Soderbergh’s spy thriller Black Bag expands today with Regé-Jean Page joining Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett. Soderbergh directs from a script by David Koepp, with Caset Silver and Greg Jacobs producing. Focus Features is setting up Black Bag, with filming happening in London. Plot details remain a mystery. However, the film’s story is a spy thriller unfolding in the United Kingdom.
As The Hollywood Reporter pointed out in January, Soderbergh and Blanchett previously worked together on his 2006 noir thriller The Good German. Blanchett played a part in the film Ocean’s 8, as part of Soderbergh’s Ocean’s 11 franchise. Soderbergh produced Ocean’s 8 but didn’t direct that one. He and Fassbender previously worked together on his 2011 action thriller Haywire. And in addition to collaborating on Presence, Soderbergh and Koepp also worked together on the 2022 thriller Kimi.

People starting the movie Spaceman would be forgiven for thinking that their Netflix had glitched. Yes, we do see Adam Sandler’s character Jakub dressed in a space suit. But he’s not floating through the cosmos. He’s walking through a wooded stream, the greenery of the trees and bushes reflecting off his mask.
What the heck does this have to do with being a space man, one might ask? By the end of the movie, directed by Johan Renck and written by Colby Day (adapting the novel Spaceman of Bohemia by Jaroslav Kalfař), Spaceman answers all your questions. Or rather, Jakub’s new friend, an alien spider named Hanuš, explains everything in the gentle, dulcet tones of Paul Dano.
Spaceman‘s strange, but ultimately clear, approach may frustrate some viewers. It may excite others, leaving them wanting to watch more sci-fi movies with a surrealist approach. Regardless of...

Described as “Doctor Who turned up to Ocean’s 11,” The Omega Eleven #1 takes readers on an adventure to Camelot for a seemingly impossible heist in Merlin's realm, and with the first issue of the five-issue series now on Kickstarter, Daily Dead had the pleasure of catching up with writer James Aquilone and artist Zac Atkinson in a new Q&a feature to discuss their unique new take on a timeless literary character (and other familiar faces from public domain).
Thank you for taking the time to answer questions for us, James and Zac, and congratulations on the Kickstarter campaign for The Omega Eleven! How long has this comic book series been in the works, and were you both longtime fans of Doctor Omega (who some consider to be the inspiration for Doctor Who) prior to working on this series?
James Aquilone: We started working on this project about a year and a half ago.

Three members of Hong Kong Cantopop band Mirror feature in this fiendishly watchable crime caper which steals much from Ocean’s Eleven and, oddly, Asmr videos
Here is a very silly and yet fiendishly watchable heist thriller that features three members – Edan Lui, Anson Lo and Keung To – of the Hong Kong Cantopop boyband Mirror in major roles. That’s worth knowing not because they break into song at any point, but because that explains the film’s prepackaged feel and why at least one of the actors, Keung To, feels so weirdly miscast as a ruthless gangster. But as with much of the plot mechanics in this film, it’s best not to think too much and just roll with punches.

In recent years, there have been a lot more people out there interested in cryptocurrency, wanting to know more about how it works and seeking out new methods through which to learn about its mechanisms. There are endless articles, blogs, educational videos, and even books on the subject matter. But one form of media still remains fairly unused in relation to crypto: cinema. That is, until recently. Directors and production companies are beginning to see the benefit of using digital currencies in their works, either through involving it in the plot or using it as part of a wider marketing strategy.

Warner Bros. really likes being in the Margot Robbie business. Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group has signed a multi-year first look feature film deal with Robbie’s production company LuckyChap Entertainment. It will make WB the first stop for any film projects Robbie wishes to produce through her production arm, which she runs alongside Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara.
It’s no big question as to why. Robbie and Ackerley together produced WB and Mattel’s “Barbie,” which grossed $1.45 billion as the highest-grossing film of 2023, and went on to earn eight Oscar nominations, including for Best Picture.
But, not so fast, “Barbie” fans. That doesn’t a sequel is incoming. The announcement made on February 12 by WB film chief heads Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy doesn’t mention any specific projects just yet, nor does it stipulate whether Robbie would star in the films.

Steven Soderbergh went from directing Ocean's 11 to helming Logan Lucky, proving that rednecks can be just as slick at pulling off the ultimate heist. Years later, Keir O'Donnell is taking a stab at the thrilling subgenre of cinema. You might recognize him from his standout roles in Wedding Crashers as Todd and season 2 of Fargo as Ben Schmidt. However, in his new film Marmalade, which he wrote and directed, O'Donnell is nowhere to be seen, however. It's a small-scale comedy-drama that offers some juicy twists and turns along the way, and combined with the upbeat pace, he might just have a future in the industry from behind the camera as well.
Starring a spread of familiar faces, Marmalade is sometimes a bit too unassuming, as a sort of less impactful Bonnie & Clyde, but ultimately leans into the goodhearted thrills as the story progresses.

Brad Pitt is the first actor to be cast in Quentin Tarantino's final movie, The Movie Critic, but his role is likely to subvert expectations. Pitt's previous collaborations with Tarantino and comments from the director suggest that he will likely play a supporting role rather than the main character. The Movie Critic is based on a real writer from the 1970s who died in his late thirties, making it unlikely for Pitt to play the lead due to his age. However, Pitt has proven his ability to deliver outstanding performances in supporting roles in Tarantino's past movies.
Brad Pitt has been cast in The Movie Critic, but although he's the first actor with official ties to Quentin Tarantino's final movie, his role is likely to subvert expectations. Story details for The Movie Critic are minimal so far, with only vague plotlines being teased by the iconic movie director.

Brad Pitt is looking to reunite with Quentin Tarantino for The Movie Critic, his 10th and apparently final film, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
The duo previously collaborated on Inglourious Basterds (2009) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), which landed Pitt a best supporting actor Oscar for the role of stuntman Cliff Booth.
It is unclear if Pitt has a deal for the Tarantino movie, but the actor will be tied up working on a Formula One racing feature for Apple and director Joseph Kosinski for much of the rest of the year. Filming on The Movie Critic would then commence, either late this year or in early 2025.
Tarantino has said he will retire from feature filmmaking after 10 films, which would make The Movie Critic his final film. The project is said to be set in 1970s Southern California, and is inspired by a cynical movie critic Tarantino read growing up.

Vanderpump Rules season 11 may disappoint viewers due to an underwhelming trailer and lackluster first episode. The exit of key cast members, such as Raquel, may contribute to the potential downfall of season 11. Despite these setbacks, there is still hope that Vanderpump Rules can retain its loyal viewers.
Vanderpump Rules has been entertaining, but season 11 may not be as good as the other seasons. The Bravo show began in 2013 and quickly became one of the most popular reality TV shows. It featured an intriguing cast and drama that continued for over ten seasons. Vanderpump Rules started with a strong list of reality TV stars, such as Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor, and many others. While some stayed with the series and continued, others left and moved on. The four Vanderpump Rules cast members who’ve remained on the series from seasons 1 through 11 are Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, and Lisa Vanderpump.

Frank Sinatra went through phases like he went through wives. The legendary crooner and movie star could exhibit impeccable taste for what people wanted to see and hear, and then, in a few year's time, completely lose his grasp of the zeitgeist.
Sinatra was threatening to enter one of his down periods in the mid-1960s. The popular music scene was in the throes of Beatlemania, while moviegoers were tiring of the Rat Pack's antics. Who wanted to see Sinatra and the gang saunter their way through Western and gangster pastiches like "4 for Texas" and "Robin and the 7 Hoods" when they could watch Elvis Presley set the screen ablaze with Ann-Margret in "Viva Las Vegas"?
To be fair, Sinatra was still Sinatra, but after giving one of his finest performances in John Frankenheimer's "The Manchurian Candidate," he started playing it way too safe. Bud Yorkin and...

Below Deck Season 11 is right around the corner, but the Og show will look quite different with a new captain running things.
For the first time since the series premiered, Captain Lee Rosbch won’t be at the helm of Below Deck.
Instead, Captain Kerry Titheradge has taken the reigns after the student of the sea was not asked back after Season 10.
The good thing about Captain Kerry is that this isn’t his first rodeo with the hit yachting franchise – so many Below Deck fans already know of him.
Captain Kerry was introduced on the only season of Below Deck Adventure.
However, there’s so much more to him than his time on reality television. Let’s take a look at what we know.
