Not to be confused with Tenchi Muyo, Kotetsu Tenshi Kurumi is the story of a young temple boy named Nagato. One day some school mates convince Nagato to break into a house belonging to someone they call Dr. Evil. Rumours say that Dr. Evil is using young girls for sinister experiments and they want to check it out. Nagato discovers a busty young woman with long pink hair wearing a maid's outfit in the basement. He wonders if it is a mannequin and comes closer to look. An earth tremor causes the woman to fall on him and their lips touch. Then the maid wakes up and calls Nagato master! That is how we first meet Kurumi the Steel Angel.

Next come Saki and Karinka, two more Metal Angels who come to live with shy boy Nagato. Saki was activated by Kurumi's kiss and so has a strange attraction to her. Karinka was sent by the government to retrieve Kurumi but eventually changed sides. Being the "youngest" of the group she often tries to get Nagato's attention.

The character designs for this show are pretty good even for the bad-guy-of-the-day. All the Metal Angels good and bad have distinctive outfits and hairstyles. If you like Saber Marionette J then you will probably like this show too. Like the Saber Marionettes the Metal Angels have been created for a secret purpose. Soon to be released in North America. You'll love that catchy theme song!

Warning: Spoilers
This is an awesome anime series that you can't help but love. I knew that this was going to be great! Nakahito Kagura is a young boy who stumbles upon the steel angel as a dare by his friends. But, unwillingly and accidentally, he awakens her by a kiss. Now, the steel angel, named Kurumi, is calling him Master. Meanwhile, military forces sent out other steel angels to hunt them down, which eventually lead them to a secret place called the Academy.

The first half of the episodes are really funny and consist of super-deformed anime in some parts to play out the laughs. But as soon as they enter the Academy, things get serious. But the ending is really sweet and warm. You'll never forget it.

Overall, this is a brilliant anime that's not to be missed. You'll love it!

There are two more seasons of this anime. I have only seen the first and the second but i can already say that they both are of extremely funny nature and if you understand Japanese thinking you won't be able to sit - you'll be rolling on the floor from the laughter! I would also like to add that the animators and the script-writers did a very good job on making it very "kawaii" (Super-cute) even if sometimes it seems a little disturbing in the matter of the relationships... And as a last word the music throughout the anime is fabulous and the intro theme, which is a re-mix of the intro of the first season, is even better than the original.
