The BBC has set up a dedicated complaints page for viewers fed up with its own blanket coverage of the death of Prince Philip.
“We’re receiving complaints about too much TV coverage of the death of Hrh Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” reads a statement on the BBC Complaints page, which invites disgruntled viewers to submit their email address to register a complaint.
Shortly after news of the prince’s death broke at noon local time on Friday, the BBC was swift in clearing its entire schedule up to 6 p.m. Later in the day, primetime programs such as the “MasterChef” final — not to mention cult favorite “Gardeners’ World” on BBC Two — were also pulled to make way for news specials and tribute programs for the 99-year-old duke.
Evening programs on the BBC, across many of its channels, included “Hrh The Duke of Edinburgh Remembered” as well as two...

Alan Titchmarsh has stepped down as host of the BBC's Chelsea Flower Show coverage.
The TV presenter will not be part of the annual event, after 30 years as its main host.
BBC One and Two's broadcasts will undergo a revamp in 2014, with Sophie Raworth and Gardeners' World host Monty Don joining the new team.
Titchmarsh previously presented Gardeners' World from his own garden, before quitting in 2002.
He currently presents an afternoon chatshow on ITV and a radio series on Classic FM.
"The way the Chelsea coverage will be presented across the BBC has changed for 2014, and Alan decided to step away from next year's show," said a BBC spokeswoman.
Titchmarsh added: "I really enjoyed my 30 years of presenting Chelsea Flower Show coverage for the BBC, and wish the new team every success."
Over 12 hours of broadcasts from the flower show in London will be shown in 2014.

Love Your Garden | Channel 4's Comedy Gala | The Santana Story | Paul Merton's Birth Of Hollywood | Isle Of Wight Festival 2011 | In Treatment
Love Your Garden
8pm, ITV1
It's easy to forget that before Ilkley's favourite son was a daytime chatshow colossus and racy novelist, Alan Titchmarsh was a humble, green-fingered horticulturist. In Love Your Garden, he's going back to his roots (ahem), going up against Monty Don on BBC2's Gardener's World, the show Titchmarsh himself used to front. There could yet be blood on the potting shed floor. This series is aiming itself not at coverage of the unobtainable country estate gardens, but something a little more achievable, celebrating the classic suburban garden. Ben Arnold
Channel 4's Comedy Gala
9pm, Channel 4
The return of the standup show in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, something you may need to bear in mind as you resentfully endure the comedy stylings of Chris Moyles.
