Full of 90s charm

I remember playing this back in 1997 and being blown-away by the graphics. How far we've come! Technology has spoiled us. Still as playable as ever, Road Rash really does suffer when it comes to the visuals. Even the series has aged better than this, and now I prefer to play those games to this then-remake.

Filled with lots of mid-90s 'tude, funny cut scenes, retro grunge music that has dated surprisingly well, bizarre puppet/digital art of eccentric characters, a pleasing mix of racing and combat, and a hedonistic sense of freedom that I normally associate with Outrun I am easily reminded of why I played the game to death back in the day, using the arrow keys and space bar on my keyboard. The PS version is basically an exact port of the PC game but with stiffer menus and slower loads. If you insist on playing through this then the Win '95 version is a tiny bit superior, the blocky graphics really begin to grate after a while though, and the bike engine does make a horrible din.

Check out the Mega Drive series. A recent attempt at reviving (ripping-off) this concept was made with disastrous results so don't expect this to be a brand that will ever make a true comeback.

One of the favorite games. So much fun.

There are no words for sescribing how much i love this game. I was a kid when first played it and being grown up i still return to play it. Despite the simlicity for the graphic, the gameplay feels alive and addicting. I still hope one day we see remastered version for this with next-gen graphic. But right now I strongly recommend turn on this game, turn on rock musc from the game for the background sound and go deep into nostalgia while you drive your bike and kick your oppnents out of their bikes. It what actually defines american nintees. And please don't skip the movies, they are so cool and hilarious.

One of the best games ever

Warning: Spoilers
I grew up playing this game back on the PlayStation many times and it just a part of my childhood.

I remember getting this game for Christmas and spend many hours playing and having a blast.

Racing video games are normally the ones you can pick up and play however this one is quite different.

This one features full motion video over 30 minutes in total to show your victory or defeat from the race.

What makes this game cool is that you can beat up your opponents as you take your fist and weapons to attack them to make you the Victor.

The game features a cool soundtrack that you hear during the menus of the game my favorite from the game is "Out shined" by Soundgarden

The controls in the game are very easy to pick up and play once you get used to it.

The sound of the bikes are impressive gives you the feel of riding a real motor bike

The graphics in the game were not the most impress but it made up for it for game play.

The strongest feature is the gameplay which you won't get sick of because the game was about you having fun and I can recall many times I had fun with this classic.

Overall if you want to play a classic game or looking to add one to your collection then put Road Rash on your list.

I give Road Rash an 9 out of 10
