Crazy silesian life
kronenzubr166418 June 2015
This polish TV series portraits life of retired Silesian miner Hubert Dworniak, called Bercik by friends and family and his wife Andzia and his old friend from the Army days Zbyszek. And that's an understatement. Bercik is full of ideas and every episode results in some funny (sometimes not that funny) exploits. But every episodes finishes bad for the main character. You'd think he will learn his lesson but not...

Swieta wojna was one of the longest polish TV series in history of the polish television. Supriesingly was directed only by two directors: Marek Bielecki (episodes 1 - 50) and Dariusz Goczal (50 - 322). Humor used in most episodes is a mixture of slapstick and gags. The interesting thing is the language used in the series. It's silesian slang mixed with polish. Many funny situations is based on the confusion between characters because of misunderstanding of the languages. I recommend this series for light, funny entertainment.
