The CBS schedule typically looks about the same year after year. That's all changed for the 2023-24 television season because of the writers and actors strikes. None of the network's usual scripted shows are on the fall schedule. How will this alternate programming perform in the ratings for the 2023-24 season? Will CBS decide to focus more on reality shows moving forward? Stay tuned!

This week’s Deal or No Deal Island competition has whittled the number of contestants from thirteen to five.
Nick Grasso was eliminated in a fierce battle between him and Boston Rob Mariano, resulting in Nick taking the deal from the banker.
Nick leaving the game with $4,417,000 meant Rob stayed another week, and the Night Owls declared that everyone was playing Rob’s game.
Boston Rob Mariano is a reality competition show expert, having been on Survivor and The Amazing Race multiple times, and is the one to beat in the game.
As reported by Monsters and Critics, fans are upset that the so-called Night Owls target Rob and his friend Aron Barbell so fiercely in the game.
But now, some fans speculate that maybe the show is being rigged to favor Rob because so many fans have declared they won’t watch it if he is eliminated.

Season 1 of the show is winding down, with only five contestants left to meet the banker, and Boston Rob is the breakout fan favorite.

Derek and Shelisa Williams were in mega trouble right from the start of Wednesday’s Mega Leg in Córdoba, Argentina, on “The Amazing Race 36.” The couple chose the bolas Detour, in which each team member must throw a bola around a moving target within 10 attempts. While Shelisa nailed hers, Derek struggled before they decided to switch to bicycles. But they never recovered from that setback and were eliminated.
“We’re reading [the clue] and we’re like, ‘Uh, bike?’ Because we ride a Peloton almost every day. ‘Bike?'” Shelisa tells Gold Derby (watch above). “It was like, ‘Oh, let’s do something fun.’ Instead of sticking to the game plan of doing things that’s familiar, if we can recognize it, that’s what we’re gonna do. But no, let’s have fun! We’re on ‘The Amazing Race!'”
“Competing for a million bucks,” Derek adds. “We didn’t play the game.

Deal or No Deal Island Season 1 is turning out to be the Boston Rob Mariano show, and while fans love that, the other contestants do not.
A group has formed against Boston Rob and Aron Barbell that is fixated on trying to eliminate them. The Boston Rob and Aron team is proving to be hard to beat.
This group is named The Night Owls and includes Dr. Stephanie Mitchell, Nick Grasso, Amy McCoy, and the now-eliminated Dawson Addis.
Last week, The Night Owls gang successfully eliminated Aron’s friend in the game, Alyssa Klinzing. In a face-off between Alyssa and The Night Owl leader, Stephanie, Alyssa could not keep her spot on the island.
Aron did not take the evening well and had an anxiety attack, which caused tears and ended with him storming off.

Hey, "The Amazing Race" fans. Tonight, April 17, 2024, another new episode of The Amazing Race's current season 36 did indeed hit the air, and another unlucky team did get eliminated at the end. Tonight's new episode kicked off with the remaining teams learning they had to complete a Mega leg aka complete two detours and two roadblock challenges. They kicked off this mega leg over in Córdoba, Argentina. Their first clue told them to go to the Plaza del Bicentenario. Once they got there, they were hit with their first set of detours: "Bicicleta" and "Boleadora." They could choose to do either one of them. In the "Bicicleta" detour, the teams had to use a stationary bicycle to crush and recycle plastic bottles to get their next clue. In the "Boleadora" detour, the teams had to throw a bola and wrap it around a moving target to get their next clue.

By all measures, Ziffren Brittenham senior partner Clifford Gilbert-Lurie has had a storied run as an entertainment attorney. Over the course of his four-decade-plus career, he has made big deals for a long list of loyal clients that have generated pages upon pages of headlines in the show business trades. Family Guy may have a whopping 25 years (and 22 seasons) under its belt, but according to creator Seth MacFarlane, the animated comedy isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
In a recent interview with L.A. Times, MacFarlane gave his two cents about the show’s potential future. When asked if the show could last another 25 years, the executive producer (who also voices many of the show’s main characters including Peter, Brian and Stewie Griffin) seemed open to it. As long as the audience doesn’t “get sick of it.”

“The Amazing Race 36” is back on the road. Here is everything you need to know about the new season.
Is “The Amazing Race” returning for Season 36?
Yes. You never had to worry about a 36th season because it has existed since 2022. Let us explain. Season 36 was chronologically filmed as the 35th season in October and November 2022. The installment that aired last fall as Season 35 was the 36th to be filmed, in June and July 2023. This happened because, in May, CBS expanded “The Amazing Race” to 90-minute episodes for fall 2023, but since the season that filmed in 2022 was mostly edited, producers decided to put that one on the backburner and film the summer 2023 season with 90-minute episodes in mind.
When will “The Amazing Race 36” premiere?
“The Amazing Race 36” premiered Wednesday, March 13 at 9:30/8:30c on CBS. It has been re-edited to feature 90-minute episodes all season long.

The fourth leg of “The Amazing Race 36” started off promisingly for Michelle and Sean Clark. The married aerobics instructors breezed through the dance Detour in Medellín, Colombia, but their momentum came to a screeching halt at the Roadblock. Michelle took so long placing the statue locations on a map of Botero Plaza that darkness had fallen by the time they got the clue and arrived at the Pit Stop in last — or “first backwards.”
“I did have a watch, which is funny, but I didn’t look at it. It had to be three or four hours,” Michelle tells Gold Derby (watch above). “It felt like 100 [times]. You can’t count. As I see it on the screen, I’m like, ‘Oh.’ I couldn’t do that in person. It literally felt like 100.”
“I think you went back and forth 100 times and you asked [the judge] 19 times,” Sean adds. “Because literally it was 100 times.

Tonight's new installment kicked off with the teams learning they had to paraglide to get their next clue over in Medellín, Colombia. Then, they had to go to Comuna 13 to get their next clue. Once the teams got there, they got hit with some detours. They could chose to do either the "Dance Vibe" or "Wall Scribe" detour. In the "Dance Vibe" detour, the teams had to breakdance. They had to dance in sync with a group of breakdancers for 30 seconds to get their next clue. In the "Wall Scribe" detour, the teams had to decipher picture clues on a mural to recite a phrase to get their next clue. Once the teams successfully completed the detour they chose,...
