Sex & Nudity

  • There is a quick nudity shot in season 2 Episode 3 (the Dead) a woman gets out of bed naked the side of her breast is seen and her butt as she walks away.

Violence & Gore

  • There is violence, killing, some bloodshed--but this isn't a very violent show. It's based in the innercity and is quite realistic. If you want to avoid all violence, I probably wouldn't suggest viewing this series (though it's quite tame).

Profanity

  • Uses of the words "ass", "damn", "goddamn", "hell", "bastard", and infrequent uses of "shit" and "bitch".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The main character has a problem with drug use and alcohol, and drugs and alcohol are *not* shown in a glamorous way. In restaurant and social scenes people are shown using wine or other drinks. If you want to avoid any reference to alcohol or smoking, you probably shouldn't watch this series.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • People are shot, others die from illness. It's not gory, but it is realistic.
