After “Mulk” (2018), “Article 15” (2019), “Thappad” (2020) and “Anek” (2022), filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is back with “Bheed,” another hard-hitting film that shines a light on the fabric of Indian society.
The film is set during the 2020 Indian pandemic lockdown and tells the poignant story of migrant workers stranded without basic necessities while trying to go home to their villages. Shot in black and white, it is deliberately evocative of the 1947 partition of the Indian subcontinent into India and Pakistan when people were uprooted from their homes in the largest migration in history.
“When the pandemic hit, people were seeking help on Twitter. Everybody had different strengths so we were helping each other and, and I really got sucked into it. And that was the time when I felt that this film had to be made, this period of time has to be recorded, and I didn’t want it to be just a Coronavirus film,...

He was not sure about the reaction of the audience toward his film.
About the idea of making a black-and-white film in the 21st century, Anubhav said: “I got this idea while we were all working in Alibaug. At first, I was scared to share the idea with the team because I thought it would be rejected, but to my surprise, everyone liked it.”
The well-known filmmaker, who made movies like “Ra.One”, “Tum Bin”, “Dus”, “Thappad”, “Anek”, “Middle Class Love”, “Article 15”, among others, said that he was nervous while thinking about the reaction of viewers after watching his film.

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, who entertained the audience with his movies like ‘Ra.One’, ‘Tum Bin’, ‘Dus’, ‘Thappad’, is all set to come up with his next intriguing project ‘Bheed’ which will depict the problems faced by common people during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown.
The film focuses on social disparity and shows how the situation was similar to the Partition in 1947, and decided to shoot the film in black and white.
Talking about the reason behind shooting the film in black and white, he explained: “‘Bheed’ is a story of the most perilous times which changed everything for humanity. The key objective of shooting the film in black and white was to showcase how the visuals of the social disparity during India’s Lockdown were strikingly similar to what people went through during the 1947 Partition.”

Lorde was previously announced as a performer for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, but she’s no longer taking part in the ceremony, where her video for “Solar Power” is nominated for Best Cinematography. The VMAs vaguely explained on Twitter on September 3, “Due to a change in production elements, Lorde can no longer perform at this year’s show. We love Lorde and cannot wait for her to perform on the VMA stage in the future!” But the awards did announce four other artists on tap for Sunday night, September 12. Click above for the full list, updating as new artists are announced.

The semifinals have begun on “America’s Got Talent” and unfortunately, 10-year-old standout Peter Rosalita had a bit of a bumpy start. But he didn’t let that stop him from giving another jaw-dropping performance.
After his insanely memorable renditions of Celine Dion and Whitney Houston hits, Rosalita paid tribute to another queen on Monday night: Mariah Carey. He opted to sing “Without You” and, because the crowd was so loud for him, he actually needed a mulligan on the beginning of the song.
When the piano intro kicked in, he appeared to have trouble hearing it, so he calmly stopped the show and asked for the music to be restarted. “Hello? Wait, can you repeat please?” Rosalita said with a smile. “Sorry. Sorry guys.”
Of course, once he truly got into it, it was another show-stopping performance, ending in confetti, even louder cheers from the crowd, and yet another standing ovation from the “AGT” judges.

The pop field at the Grammys is consistently stacked, including as it does some of the biggest pop hits each year. This year the crowded field has a wide range of artists, from veterans to 2021 breakouts, competing for recognition. Let’s take a fresh look at Best Pop Solo Performance.

In my last pop field preview, I mentioned that this category seemed like a safe bet for Olivia Rodrigo; this has not changed. The rock and alternative fields at the Grammys are always interesting. You’re never alone with an alien symbiote. Just ask Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), whose body-roomie Venom is almost helpful in the kitchen in the new Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer. But his counterpart Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) only sees red, and is on a mission to wreak carnage. Meanwhile, he writer of the song in the Venom 2 trailer only wanted to bring some bittersweet pandemonium.

In the lead-up to “The Voice” finale on Monday December 14, we polled viewers to see who they want to win. Their clear favorite in our Top 5 rankings of the season 19 artists is Carter Rubin, who enjoys a sizeable lead with 43% of the total tally as of this writing. He is being coached by Gwen Stefani, who is still looking for her first victory.
However Rubin better watch out for Ian Flanigan, who is being coached by reigning seven-time champion Blake Shelton. At 22%, he has polled almost a quarter of the vote in our best to worst power rankings. Remember, Flanigan won the Top 9 Instant Save. That sudden death showdown gave him another chance to impress “The Voice” viewers with his vocals on the Travis Tritt tune “Anymore.”
