Disappointing Script
Musicianmagic18 December 2023
This movie is often touted as one of Director Hisayasu Satõ's most extreme. It's actually fairly tame except for the subject matter. A man tortures using a vibrator and kills girls taking their pictures at time of death. A highschooler searching for someone gets involved. That's really the entire movie.

The killings are not very graphic. The rape always with a vibrator are not explicit or especially violent and each drag on way too long. The only real additional story is the girl posting missing person posters.

The cast is very good. Nothing wrong with Satõ's direction. But not enough of a story to make a one hour & three minute movie. It was interesting but often scenes just dragged on without going anywhere.

Skip this one.

Potentially explosive but disappointing

In English, it's known as LOLITA VIBRATOR TORTURE.

A sicko lures a young girl to his freight container and subjects her to plenty of mean and nasty.

Sounds potentially interesting, in the Nippon context, but it's extremely dull and slow. Even the title vibrator is boring.

The freight container is perched on a Shinjuku building and the sicko spends most of his time photographing his own abuse. Problem is, he's not a very creative sicko.

A certain still of a woman's nostrils being yanked back by a large hand has been associated with this film for years , but it turns out that the scene depicted in the still is actually a photograph on the wall of the freight container of one of the sicko's earlier victims.

The climax concludes nothing and the film's lack of momentum sinks it completely. Don't hang out to see this for as long as I did.

Borderline Plotless.

This is from the same director who did Naked Blood, and Naked Blood was kind of interesting, this was just kind of dull. There really nearly zero plot to this. A school girl look for her friend, that took his own life, she contacts "Mr. Detective" and the Detective rapes her, and her friend. That's pretty much the whole movie.

Not sure where the positive reviews are coming from, but the whole movie was kind of boring. Also i thought the movie was kind of tame. Naked Blood had pretty messed up imagery. The only disturbing thing about this movie was the photo at 25:00 minutes, that was disturbing to see. Everything else was kind of dull.

The effects are pretty tame, the plot barely exists, our characters neither are likeable. This honestly felt just like a adult film. 60+ minutes of playing with a vibrator, and 10 minutes of plot lol.

Cold and disturbing pinku shocker.
HumanoidOfFlesh20 March 2007
"Lolita:Vibrator Torture" has to be one of the most repellent pinku films directed by the prolific Japanese director Hisayasu Sato. This notorious Nikkatsu pinker tells the story of a sadistic killer who lives in a squalid freight container and performs hideous acts upon young schoolgirls before bloodily murdering them and disposing of their corpses in an acid bath.Hisayasu Sato is often cited as a Japanese Cronenberg and "Lolita:Vibrator Torture" is no exception. The film contains a lot of unsettling visuals for example composites of black and white photos, pixelated close-ups of VHS screens or computer monitors. The soundtrack is truly outrageous and somewhat disorienting. The film relies more on gore and sexual sadism rather than sex and is as cold and nihilistic as they get.8 out of 10.

Another Winner From Innovative Pinku Director Hisayasu Sato...
EVOL6668 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I knew five minutes into this film that it would be a "keeper". Hisayasu Sato is an amazing director who has made several great films in a very limited genre. At this point, I've seen quite a few pinku films and many of them, while "good", are very similar and derivative. Sato has found a way to reinvent the genre with every film that he makes (at least of the ones I've seen...), while still keeping within the sleazy and subversive context that us pinku fans have come to know and love.

A twisted psycho takes pictures of his abusive sex-play (including what else, but vibrator torture!) with young schoolgirls. Some end up as mere photographic fodder - others play his game until his masochistic tendencies take over (which ends up with much the same results...). At one point the sicko enlists another schoolgirl to help play with his prey, which also turns out wrong when the prey becomes the predator...

Though not as "deep" as some of his other films, I found LOLITA: VIBRATOR TORTURE to still contain the signature Sato finger-prints that make his films immediately recognizable to fans of the genre. The camera-work and story lines are both "cold" and nihilistic and are unrelenting to the viewer. Taboos are broken with reckless abandon, as girls who appear far too young for this sort of material are violated in perverse (yet "tastefully" un-graphic) fashion. Blood and sex (or a combination of...) are handled as mere set-pieces to the overall vision of the film, and are considered no more or less important than characterization, plot, or technical prowess. There are some truly creepy visuals and the bizarre score fits perfectly in this bleak and twisted film. I've ranted long enough - not the best pinku film out there - but God bless Hisayasu Sato and his works...a true genius in an under-rated genre...9/10
