- Eleni and Konstantinos who hate each other are forced to live under the same roof awaiting the trial which will determine the ownership of the house.
- Eleni and Konstadinos are two totally different people who are forced to live under the same roof, because they are in the middle of the proceedings of a trial, regarding the ownership of the house. Konstadinos is a strict university professor, while Eleni is a crazy girl who works at a bar. Their different characters put them in constant conflict, but does this mean that they really hate each other?—Chris Makrozahopoulos <makzax@hotmail.com>
- Konstandinos Katakouzinos is an old-fashioned, wealthy, phobia-filled assistant professor of Vyzantine history in Athens. When Konstandinos' uncle dies, his house in Athens becomes a subject of legal dispute with Eleni Vlahaki, the daughter of his uncle's gardener, an open-hearted, most of the time broke, adorable but sometimes annoying waitress. When Konstandinos' uncle died, he left two wills: in the first he leaves the house to his nephew, and in the other to Eleni. There are no evidence as to which will was written last, so they both decide to live under the same roof, until the ownership of the house is settled. Their completely different characters and lifestyles, lead up to a series of comic events, part of which are Manthos, a spoiled wealthy long-time friend of Konstandinos and fond of fast cars and women, Peggy, a friend and waitress at the same bar with Eleni who tries to make her way into the show business (and one of Manthos' fiancés), Matina, neighbor of Konstandinos and Eleni with absolutely no luck in men and Nikolas, the bartender and close friend to Eleni.—Anonymous
- The series involves the forced cohabitation of two very different people. They have both been named as the inheritors of a valuable family residence in Athens, in two separate wills left by a recently-deceased elderly acquaintance. (An estranged uncle for Konstantinos, and a former employer for Eleni's family). The wills were created on the same date, and nobody can determine which one is valid. As the case is ongoing at the Greek court system, the two rival inheritors move into the house.
Konstantinos Katakouzinos is an assistant professor at the University of Athens, where he teaches Byzantinology. He originates from a well-to-do family and is highly educated, but he is also grumpy, old-fashioned, and narrow-minded. He considers himself a pious Christian, but his attitude towards other people borders on misanthropy. He devotes his free time on writing a detailed study of the Byzantine Empire's sewer system, something which no publisher in Greece is interested in publishing.
Eleni Vlachaki works as a waitress in a bar. She originates from a working-class family, and is herself poorly educated and perennially broke. She is however streetwise, crafty, and far more sociable than Konstantinos. She has had a string of failed romantic relationships, but is optimistic enough to keep trying to make one work.
The other members of the main cast consist of Manthos Foustanos (Konstantinos' only friend), Peggy Karra (Eleni's best friend), Matina Mandarinaki (a next-door neighbor who befriends Eleni), and Nicolas Varthaculias (the bartender at the bar where Eleni works).
Manthos is the lazy son (and potential heir) of a wealthy industrialist and does not work for a living. He is concurrently engaged to Peggy and several other women (they do not know about each other's existence), and lives the life of a carefree womanizer. He and Konstantinos have been friends since their school years, though they rarely agree on any topic. Peggy is an aspiring actress with stunning good looks and a decent education, but rather lacking in actual talent. She works as a waitress to pay the bills, while pursuing various roles.
Matina is a lonely spinster, who still lives with her elderly father and works as a civil servant. She is typically friendly and helpful, but her mediocre looks, poor fashion sense, timid personality, and lack of self-esteem serve as a turn off for most men she meets. She bribes Eleni and other potential friends with offerings of food, as she is a great cook. Matina's fears of dying alone are often played for laughs, as are her suicidal tendencies. Nicolas is a handsome biker who works as a bartender in order to afford repairs for his Harley Davidson. While he is frequently in love with women, few of them view him as anything other than a "boy toy" and he is as unlucky in love as Eleni.
