- MUCH more violent than the first game. Horrific dismemberment and screams.
- Full of it. Removing hands, feet, sections of arms and legs, hack away chunks of enemies heads, see bullet holes on enemies and remove sections of the torso can all be done while the enemy is still standing. And when they've falling all of the above AND the ability to cover the walls with their organs by means of a grenade can be preformed. And I managed to shoot a chunk of flesh out of a mans leg. After dismemberments they stand there screaming before falling down and dying. when someone is set on fire is disturbing. NOT FOR KIDS!!!

- The violence is very, VERY disturbing. This is undoubtedly one of the most violent and horrific video games ever created, featuring lots of extreme violence and graphic carnage as you dismember and obliterate enemies into ludicrous gibs. Also, the violence of this game is turned up to 11 in comparison to the already incredibly gory first game, not to mention the scarily realistic damage modeling (jaws blown off, brains splattered, blood squirting from severed limbs, etc.).
- By far, one of the most violent first person shooters ever made. It's so violent that it becomes the main attraction of the game.
- Tension is high throughout the game, as having an enemy suddenly appear at a corner and open fire can be extremely startling, not to mention the sense of paranoia and dread players can get from this and the fact that you must use stealth in numerous portions of the game, as well as the insane difficulty and ridiculously overblown enemy AI. Overall, the game has an intense atmosphere, and it might be very unsettling for some.
