No other way to describe this. It belongs up there with the likes of Mario Bros, Mike Tyson's Punchout and Kung Fu. Such horrible, cheesy games that kept us entertained and fascinated and opened up new worlds to us Gen X'ers deserve their recognition. I played this game at least 3 or 4 hrs a day all through elementary school, and even to this day, over a decade later, nostalgia will hit and I will dust off my old Nintendo, pop in the cartridge and in seconds the horribly redundant, beautiful music of Ice Hockey will once again ring. **** Four stars, this game will live on.

Ice Hockey!

Ice Hockey is one of the one of the coolest action video games! The characters, the action, and the sure thrill of adventure makes this game a fun non-stop playing time! Below is a brief look how I think the game is!
Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!
Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the first Nintendo. The backgrounds are really beautiful! Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!
Music: The music is great! Just fantastic catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!
Sound: The sound is great. Nuff said!
Overall: I have always loved Ice Hockey! If you like excellent adventure games, Sports, and more then I strongly recommend you play this game!

Where to begin...
Trying to check the opposing player welp, you would have better luck catching a light particle.
Speaking of defense, the goalie also moves when your controlling the other skaters. So while your praying you can catch the opposition, the nets as open as the ocean.
The goalie can pass one of two ways, through center to the other team or to the side for anyone to pick up. It doesn't help your team skates off screen to the other end of the rink, leaving only enemy's to pass too.
Third period means every player not on your team gets treated to a huge boost in toughness and intelligence. Whereas before you could complete passes...now you are constantly being checked, while not being able to strip the puck off the other team when they get it. As an added bonus they pass like there lineup is Gretzky, Messi, Jordan, Woods and Scot Sterling!!!!!!!!
These are just minor flaws though as there wasn't too many examples of Ice hockey games to work with. Ill never play again though.
