Filming was completed on November 9, 2002, but the movie sat on the shelf until it was premiered at the Don't Knock the Rock festival in August 2003. The film was later released on DVD in 2004, never having reached theaters.
This film is largely the same concept as The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash (1978), a mockumentary (set out in the same chronological order) with new interviews and clips/scenes that were cut from the first movie, such as the Nasty "give peas a chance" gag and many more gay jokes which may have been deemed as too risqué back in the 1970s.
The movie ends with the song lyrics 'so long, it's all over'.
Correct running time is 56 minutes.
