Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • You come across dead bodies and you can scan them, this usually isn't that graphic.
  • Intense Sci-Fi Violence throughout.
  • There is alot of shooting alien monsters throughout the game.
  • Blood is shown constantly but it's all discolored so no red blood is shown.
  • When some enemies die they explode, gore is sometimes shown but briefly.
  • Samus can be seen shooting and launching missiles at aliens and killing them.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Whenever you get a game over, you can see Samus' head tilt as if she died and her life support just stops functioning completely. In the remastered version (released in 2023), when the "OFFLINE" text fades onto the screen, the screen color changes to a dark red-black mix, which could make the game over screen more frightening for younger players.
  • The whole game is intense and sometimes frightening.
  • Some of the creatures may appear unsettling to some players/viewers.
  • The Metroid Prime soundtrack in the game may be scary or creepy.
