Certain nude scenes in "Hele den tyrkiske musik" urged bishop (and member of Radiorådet, the board of Danmarks Radio) Erik Jensen to complain about its "incessant animalisation".
Critics announced 1970 as the "Klaus Rifbjerg year". Besides three TV dramas ("Udviklinger", "Premiere" and "Hele den tyrkiske musik"), the most productive writer also received the prestigious Nordisk Råds Litteraturpris for his novel "Anna (jeg) Anna", while his play "År" premiered at the Royal Danish Theater and his revealing 'nøgleroman' called "Marts 1970" was also published this very year. Besides, Rifbjerg stirred up a lot of public debate, when in 1970 he joined a protest smoking marijuana inside the Ministry of Culture.
