Don't be surprised by the inclusion of Red Skelton. In 1939, Skelton emceed a
stage bill in Buffalo, with singers Frank Sinatra and Jo Stafford, and an
acrobatic act, the under stander of which was Burt Lancaster. For a musical note that really goes back: Harry James, who gave Sinatra his first big break, with the "Two O'clock Jump." Sinatra sings "It was a Very Good Year," of course. The final segment will feature Sinatra in concert. The special was taped in Las Vegas. Nev. on Sinatra's 64th birthday. Dec 12.
