CBS has set and revealed its summer schedule, including premiere dates for “Candy Crush,” “Big Brother,” “Zoo” and “Salvation.”
New live-action game show “Candy Crush,” based on the super-popular mobile game, premieres Sunday, July 9 at 9 p.m.

Clip It: Each day, Jon Davis looks at the world of trailers, featurettes and clips and puts it all in perspective. In the '80s, I watched A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard, which were the Breaking Bad and The Wire of its time. That's not true, actually, I'm just trying to say I wasn't a particularly discerning TV viewer back then. Still, I couldn't get into MacGyver. I didn't find it realistic. I found Knight Rider and Alf perfectly reasonable, so take that for what's it worth. I think it's because I've never been a handy person. If the dishwasher is broken, I pretend like I don't notice so that whoever uses it next might be the one who fixes it. Meanwhile, MacGyver can make a helicopter out of a trash can or whatever. It takes a toll on my sense of masculinity, I won't lie. So when I saw...

New York — The boozy, bluesy, hot-mama howl of Janis Joplin is heading to Broadway.
Producers said Wednesday that the musical "A Night With Janis Joplin" starring Mary Bridget Davies as the iconic singer will start previews at the Lyceum Theatre on Sept. 20.
The show, written and directed by Randy Johnson, has a live onstage band and features Joplin hits and classic songs such as "Piece of My Heart," "Mercedes Benz," "Me and Bobby McGee," "Ball and Chain" and "Summertime."
The show has already been staged at Portland Center Stage in Oregon; the Cleveland Play House; Arena Stage in Washington, D.C.; the Pasadena Playhouse in California; and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater.

Spoilers: Could a PsyOps Romance Be in the Works for NCIS? Plus: New Girl, Glee, Raising Hope & Ringer
NCIS | Could a NCIS-PsyOps romance be in the works? This week's episode "Psych Out" saw the introduction of Samantha Ryan (guest-star Jamie Lee Curtis), a psychiatrist brought in to investigate the death of a high-level security Navy reservist. But she also just so happens to be an excellent sparring partner for Gibbs. Ep Gary Glasberg teases TVGuide, "She's willing to challenge him on a professional level, which will then carry over into other things." Oh, really? Other things, you say?
How long will PsyOps stick around? At least through the end of March, and maybe even the rest of the season. EW has learned that Lord of the Ring's Sean Astin is set to play Samantha Ryan's top operative for an episode scheduled to air in late March. "We can...

The big comedy act from tonight’s X Factor show was London trio Bun Nd Cheese.
The singers, named Pinky, Peas and Patty (actual names Mary, Ebony and Debbie) explained their band name to Dermot O’Leary saying:
“We love it so much we eat it every day. It’s a spiced bun with processed cheese. Why not be named after something that we love.”
Ok, that’s not weird at all….
The girls auditioned in London and sang Beyonce’s Listen for Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh. The panel hated it and so did we….well we hated the parts they actually sang but because they didn’t know the words to the song, they didn’t sing much at all.
Judges Comments:
Simon Cowell laughed: “You actually didn’t even try. No attempt to sing, you hadn’t learned the words. But you’re attitude is...

On tonight’s American Idol, Aaron Kelly took on R Kelly’s song – I Believe I Can Fly. Ryan Seacrest said that it’s a song he’s been singing since he was five. So, that was about last week then, wasn’t it?
Celebrity mentor for the show Alicia Keys, said that Aaron had a challenge on his hands but if he could put a lot of emotion into the performance then he could take the song to “a whole other place”.
So once again Aaron returned to doing slightly country-tinged versions of pop classics. The vocal was pretty duff at the beginning, but he handled the key change fairly well. He’s capable, but like another blogger said last week…we can’t see ourselves owning an Aaron Kelly album anytime soon. Simon Cowell aptly put it by saying ‘it wasn’t very good!’

Piers Morgan has hit out at this year’s Britain’s Got Talent contestants, saying that he could do most of their acts better than they can.
Piers, who famously tried and failed to master the German wheel on last year’s series of the ITV show (check out the clip below), told The Sun:
“If I had my way I’d be up after every act showing them how to really do it.
“Simon won’t let me though. He puts me in shackles to stop me storming the stage.”
When his failed attempt at moving the giant wheel was mentioned, he insisted: “I still think I’m more talented than some of the contestants I see on stage.
“I think I could have a go at most of the acts because I’ve got the front to do so.
“I’m not remotely scared of the stage or performing.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has admitted that he wasn’t a fan of Louis Walsh when he stood in for Simon Cowell earlier this year.
After Simon contracted the flu, Louis sat on the judging panel for the Bgt Birmingham auditions. When asked what was the worst audition he had seen this year, Piers Morgan told The Sun:
“Louis Walsh as a judge. I’d have buzzed him off after ten minutes.”
“Louis came in determined to be the new head judge, and even had a badge made to confirm this.
“But after a day he gave it to me because it was obvious that he is to leadership what Simon is to fragile egos.”
Piers added: “I missed Simon rather like I used to miss my two younger brothers if they didn’t come on holiday with me.
“They were very annoying, but someone to play with.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has promised that this years series will be the weirdest yet, but insisted that it won’t be full of ‘tragic nutters.’
The former newspaper editor told The Sun:
“The auditions for the new series have been extremely unusual.
“There are some acts that I didn’t think could magically exist. They are definitely the strangest acts ever.”
But he added: “I do think this country is a very talented one, and no, it is not full of tragic nutters.
“People will be surprised by the variety of the new series, and it will be very entertaining. I, for one, like the crazier acts.
“I know Simon has particular tastes and finds it all a bit odd, but I sit there wondering why on earth they take it up.
“They make me laugh.”

American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi has admitted that she doesn’t always trust her straight talking colleague Simon Cowell.
Kara co-hosted American chat show “Regis and Kelly” today, as regular host Kelly Ripa enjoys a week’s holiday. As well as interviewing celebrity guests like Kelsey Grammar, Kara spilled the beans on the Idol judging experience this season.
On Cowell Kara said:
“He’s been much nicer to me this year. I always think he’s gonna do something under the table. Not like that! ……. But he’s been kinda cozy. I don’t know if I trust him.”
When asked how Ellen DeGeneres was fitting in as a new judge Kara added:
“I think she’s doing a great job. There are times she takes the word out of my mouth.”

Last night we saw the Over The Rainbow judges whittling down their group of hopefuls from thousands to just twenty. On tonight’s installment the panel will reduce the number to just ten and these girls will perform on the live shows starting next week.
As one of their tasks tonight, the girls get to work through a performance with five of the West End’s most well-respected leading ladies – Kelly Ellis (soon to replace Jodie Prenger as Nancy in Oliver!), Ruthie Henshall (currently appearing in Chicago), Sheridan Smith (Legally Blonde), Tamzin Outhwaite (Sweet Charity) and Melanie C (Blood Brothers) – to gain a valuable insight into the life and profession that awaits them when they reach the end of the yellow brick road.
The show opens with our final 20 Dorothys. Well, 21 if you count Graham Norton. (oh, that joke’s old already…yawn) Graham gives us a run-down of the contestants,...

American Idol contestant Paige Miles made us a little nervous when we heard she would be singing Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Walk Away’ on last night’s live show. We weren’t sure she could live up to the former winner’s version and we were right.
The 22 year old can sing and she did sing the song really well, but Kelly did it better and Paige didn’t bring anything new to the piece. However she did sing it in a way that shows off all the good things in her voice and we truly love her bluesy edge.
Randy Jackson liked the performance, but told her that he didn’t hear enough of her in it. Ellen disagreed and said that she likes everything she did with it.
Kara DioGuardi (who coincidentally co-wrote the show) could see Paige having a hit with the song, but notes that if she...

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has admitted that sometimes he appalls himself with his honest criticisms of untalented wannabes.

Hooked on Season 13 of America’s Next Top Model on Living? As the season continues next Monday at 9pm we’ve got news of the latest online challenge for you!
In Monday’s episode the girls were introduced to 9-year-old runway model Diva Davanna, who proved you don’t have to be tall, to walk tall! Miss J taught them runways techniques, which were put to the test at a Malibu fashion show, where the girls had to walk next to a model 5′10″ or above. The warehouse photo shoot had the girls using elements of the set and their outfits, to elongate themselves.
Brittany and Lulu found themselves in the bottom two, and despite being one of the tallest models at 5’7, Lulu was sent home for her poor performance in front of the lens. Next week a CoverGirl challenge will see the girls racing against each other (literally!), whilst doing their make-up and styling.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell was so upset by the lack of talent at yesterday’s London auditions, he declared to the audience that he wouldn’t be back next year.
Simon made the declaration after a 66-year-old woman played a strange instrument consisting of a hose connected to a toy penguin.
He told the audience: “What the bloody hell? I am not going to be back next year.
“I am not kidding. I can’t do this anymore. I am 50 years old.”
“This is not what this show is all about.”
An insider told The Sun: “Simon didn’t think the auditions could get any worse after Cardiff, but London proved they could. The run of contestants was dismal.
“The judges just hope that some talent emerges before they wrap up the auditions.”

Simon Cowell has risen from his sick bed and ousted Louis Walsh from the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel.
Having been struck down with the flu this week, Louis was asked to step in for two days of Bgt Birmingham auditions as Simon recuperated at home.
However yesterday Louis’ reign ended as Simon appeared on the stage telling the crowd:
“Hello, my name is Simon Cowell and I’m here to remove Louis from the panel!”
It couldn’t have came soon enough for us! It’s bad enough having to watch Louis on the X Factor each autumn and winter, without him popping up in the spring TV schedules too!
