when i first played this game...i didn't really know anything about it except ken shamrock....i was over at a friends house and i figured, hey, its a fighting game, all i have to do is press buttons and i'll win....WRONG!!!!!! this game has no story mode, which is a little frustrating, since all you do is fight. there's grand prix, where you pick the characters and then do a tournament to see who is champ. there's single battle(needs no explanation), survival, where you beat as many opponents as you can. there's also biographies, so you can learn about the fighters...and the ever popular CAF, create a fighter.this game can be very frustrating cause its realistic, if they put a submission on, you're done. there are ways to fight out of it, but how often you do this depends on how you are fighting. this game can get old since, like i said, there's no story mode, but in real pride fighting, there are no story lines 7/10
