Jennifer Lawrence stood in for Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, and as well as accosting people on the street, the actress interviewed her friend Kim Kardashian. Jen, who is a famously huge fan of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, didn't hold back with the personal questions, grilling Kim about everything from whether she farts in front of Kanye to which sibling she'd kill first if she had to. She also shared stories of the time she got drunk at dinner with Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, and even offered to be the surrogate if Kim and Kanye ever decide to have another kid. Kim, meanwhile, shared some family Halloween secrets, and revealed her secret past as a hacker (no joke). Watch the hilarious video now, then remind yourself of Kim's amazing trio of Halloween looks. Drake still loves his RiRi! Though the Canadian rapper split from Rihanna last year, he had no problem celebrating the “Rude Boy” singer’s 29th birthday during his Dublin, Ireland concert on Monday.
“It’s somebody’s birthday today – somebody I have a lot of love for and a lot of respect for,” he told the audience. “So, instead of singing ‘Happy Birthday,’ though, we just gonna do this in Dublin tonight. Instead of singing ‘Happy Birthday,’ we’re going to set it off just like this…,” before his collaboration song “Work” started playing.

On Tuesday, Parks and Recreation returns for its seventh and final season.
There's pretty much no point in carrying on after this -- but instead of mourning the loss of our favorite series, let's grab a calzone and celebrate what we can look forward to in Pawnee's final bow. (Lol, jk! calzones are just pizzas that are harder to eat, please grab waffles instead…and don't skimp on the whipped cream.)
Where Did We Leave Off?
**Last Season Spoiler Alert**
Season six ended with a bang! Long-time rivals Pawnee and Eagleton have merged, Leslie is pregnant with Triplets, and facing a major life-decision on taking a job with the National Parks Service that would relocate her from Pawnee to Chicago. Leslie ultimately accepts the job, but convinces her new boss that she should stay in Pawnee.
The ending felt like a series finale, but then we were hit with a last-minute shocker -- a three-year time jump...

The Life After #2 (Oni): The first issue of Josh Fialkov and Gabo’s The Life After was one of the best first issues I’d read in a while—a twist on purgatory guest-starring Ernest Hemingway and some mysterious figures. But this one? Whole different ballgame. Hemingway’s still around for comic relief, but there are also tentacle monsters and a horrifying dreamscape full of teeth and blood and misery. People are jumping off bridges for eternity, and there is a not-so-subtle indication that “God” is a giant pile of mouthy flesh. In short, this is one weird book, and that makes it a must-read. I honestly can’t wait to find out what happens next, as cliché as that phrase is. I hope it involves more monsters and Hemingway with a shotgun, because what else do you really need in life? 9/10

This week is a little light on new Blu-ray releases worth checking out. But there are several re-releases that are getting significant Blu-ray upgrades. Also, there are a couple of anime picks on our list to hold us over until the summer blockbusters make their way to Blu-ray. Personally, I’m waiting for Man of Steel, Pacific Rim and The World’s End.
For now, here are our picks to kick off October.
This is the End
This is the End is probably one of summer’s biggest surprises. The story stars James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and Danny McBride as themselves. You would think that it’s a little superficial and vain to portray yourself in a movie, but that’s exactly what these comedians go for when Armageddon approaches. There’s lots of unexpected laughs in this very non-traditional apocalypse movie.

The first ever Geekie Awards took place on Aug. 18 in Los Angeles. Created by self-professed geek Kristen Nedopak, the awards ceremony seeks to honor the independent filmmakers, artists and creators active in the geek world.
It's no surprise then that Nathan Fillion and Stan Lee were awarded top honors during the ceremony. Fillion was named Geek of the Year, while Lee earned a lifetime achievement award. Since Fillion wasn't able to attend the awards show, Samm Levine, Natasha Melnick and Sarah Hagan instead presented the award to Jesse Heiman, who gave his best Fillion impression. Meanwhile, Seth Green presented Lee his award. In addition, the Nasa Jpl Mars Curiosity Rover team was given the Geek Cred award.
Present at the awards show were Tara Platt, who served as main announcer, and presenters Richard Hatch, Grant Imahara and Magda Apanowicz, among others. Here are the rest of the night's winners:

Each week we take a look at the good, the bad and the ugly of the home entertainment offerings, reviewing and rating the films and the special features packed onto the discs.

Terence Malick’s Tree of Life divided critics but it was a typically illuminated and unconventional return to the big screen for one of cinema’s enigmas. The relative rush of production on To The Wonder was welcomed by Malick’s fans and for the most part the director does not let them down.

As expected, reps for actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt are denying reports that he’ll be playing Batman in the Justice League film scheduled for 2015, or making a cameo in Zack Snyder’s Superman film Man of Steel in 2013. Like I said yesterday, this is to be expected. The only ones who would and could make that official would be Warner Bros, and they too are as quiet as a church mouse about the future of the Batman character. And while it’s obvious the WB holds Christopher Nolan’s trilogy with high regard and would probably really not do anything to piss him off, we know that there will be a new Batman for that Jla film, a Batman that will probably have no connection to Nolan’s series. Still, hiring Gordon-Levitt to play Batman –or even Robin as others have suggested- is something the WB can do without consulting with Nolan.

1.) I know some of you are just as tired of reading the Star Wars: Episode VII rumors as I am, but a rather interesting video has surfaced courtesy of HeyUGuys.co.uk. In the clip, Jason Flemyng, who has appeared in all four of Matthew Vaughn's directorial efforts, seems to confirm that Vaughn will direct Episode VII. See for yourself, but it looks to me like Flemyng doesn't realize he might have just let the cat out of the bag until it's too late. Is it possible Vaughn told Flemyng the gig was his, then Flemyng passed it along under the assumption that it was public knowledge? Flemyng starts talking Star Wars at about the 1:07 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embeddedandv=DbTYiX5A3Bk#! 2.) For a while, Safety Not Guaranteed writer/director Colin Trevorrow was the rumored Star Wars director du jour as prognosticators continued to explore every possible avenue.

Joe Carnahan recently submitted his screenplay for the Death Wish remake, and unless that project gets greenlit pretty soon, it looks like Carnahan will instead focus his writing-directorial energies on a comic book adaptation.
Carnahan is set to write and direct an adaptation of the graphic novel Undying Love for Warner Bros.
Deadline NY describes the plot:
“An ex-soldier who falls for a vampire, though in order to be with her, he must take on her creator. And that creator happens to be protected by an army of mobsters in the Hong Kong underworld.”
Just a few months ago it looked like Carnahan was about to helm the Daredevil reboot for Fox. Carnahan’s homemade pitch video was even leaked onto the web. But alas, the project fell through.
Undying Love sounds just grim and gritty enough to be right up Carnahan’s alley.

Justin McConnell's semi-regular monthly short film festival, Little Terrors, gets a comfy new home at the Carlton Cinema in Toronto. The series showcases the best in horror short-fimmaking to a city that seems to constantly hunger for genre, and is co-curated by some wise folks from Rue Morgue, Toronto After Dark and Raven-Banner Entertainment. I'm rather excited that Twitch's own bearded polymath, Omar "Swarez" Hauksson (graphic designer, musician, actor, collector or bleached cow-skulls and all around laid-back dude) has his short film Undying Love, as a part of tonight's line-up. The film will go on to play in the Special Shorts Selection at Sitges. If you are in the city, this is something you will want to see on the big screen. As Zombie short films...

Is there such a thing as going too far on "Game of Thrones"? Just ask the charred toddler hanging on the walls of Winterfell — he'll have an answer, I'm sure.
Season two has already seen no fewer than four of its currently aired seven episodes conclude with the death of a child in increasingly brutal fashion. And "A Man Without Honor" — the 17th hour of the series — was perhaps the cruelest of the bunch, thanks to Theon Greyjoy. Not quite the boy-monster that Joffrey is, Theon is definitely giving him competition for the show's Most Loathsome Villain award. Even though the golden-haired demon child sat out of this week's outing entirely (ironic, given the title of the episode), Joffrey's presence hung heavily through Sansa and Cersei,...

If there's one thing you can say about Alexandre Aja, it's that the man likes diversity in his horror projects. Having already helmed an acclaimed psychological thriller (High Tension), an impressive remake of a cult favorite (The Hills Have Eyes), a high-profile star vehicle for Kiefer Sutherland (Mirrors), and a fun 3D horror-comedy romp (Piranha), Aja has apparently been in discussions to adapt Joe Hill's Horns. But now we hear the director may also tackle a vampire epic, Undying Love, based on the Image comic. More after the jump. Deadline reports that "Piranha helmer Alexandre Aja is negotiating to direct Undying Love, an adaptation of the Image Comics title for Warner Bros. The film revolves around an...

This was the director who bought us the remake of "The Hills Have Eyes," "P2," and "Mirrors." And considering we weren't even that impressed by his calling card, "Switchblade Romance," it's probably fair to say that we weren't his biggest fans. But then he went and made "Piranha 3D," and we were genuinely sad to see that he wasn't directing the sequel. This was a film that featured Jerry O'Connell's penis being chewed up and spat out by an angry piranha, yet almost had the sense of being the work of an auteur - what's not to like?
Aja's next film in theatres will be a remake of "Maniac" with Elijah Wood in the lead role -- and, interestingly, the film is said to be entirely filmed from his Pov...

Will they ever get off the Vampire buzz? Doesn't look like it. Now we can add this adaptation of the Image comic Undying Love to the list of blood suckers in the pipeline. But this one will be directed by Alexandre Aja - the man behind the pretty terrifying and gory Switchblade Romance (or "High Tension" Stateside). He went on to direct a decent remake of The Hills Have Eyes, and of course the pretty entertaining Piranha 3D. He also brought us the fairly lousy Mirrors however. Still, he knows his way around a horror flick so this might turn out to be one of the good ones. According to Deadline.. The film revolves around an ex-solider who falls for a vampire, though in order to be with her, he must take on her creator, who is protected by an army of monsters in the Hong Kong underworld. The movie...

Okay Twihards, just breathe. What we're about to show you might make you spontaneously combust or something, so just remember to breathe.
With only one more month to go until "Twilight"-mania, Summit Entertainment has released seven new stills from "Breaking Dawn, Part 1," and we have to admit, they even make us excited for the vampy flick.
Not only do we get a sneak peek at Edward and Bella's wedding, but we also get one incredibly sexy photo of Jacob. Bella, are you sure you picked the right guy? There's also a few stills of the Cullen family, including a very persistent Alice trying to convince Bella into trying on a pair of sparkly heels, and Emmett, looking mighty strong carrying that giant log.
And yes, there are even a few romantic and cutesy photos of Edward and Bella looking blinded by their undying love -- get it? Undying love ... because he's a vampire!

The beauty queen, the Mormon missionary tied to a bed – Joyce McKinney's bizarre story gripped Britain in the 1970s and is now retold in a fine documentary
Joyce McKinney is one of those names that for people of a certain age opens a doorway into the past. To mention it is to be transported back to the 1970s, when there were only three TV channels, British food was awful, sex was naughty and Fleet Street was still the home of national newspapers. Back then computers were the preserve of boffins in white coats, but even if journalists had managed to lay their hands on some mainframe monster the size of a small house, and programmed it with all the ingredients of the perfect tabloid story, the results could never have matched the bizarre and compelling tale of a wannabe beauty queen's obsessional love.

Among the comic book movies coming in 2012 is the Superman revamp Man of Steel, which has just added another cast member.
Harry Lennix (pictured) - known chiefly for his roles as Commander Lock in the second and third Matrix movies and Boyd Langton in Joss Whedon's Dollhouse series - will be playing a military officer called General Swanwick, according to Variety.
While we don't know just how Lennix's character will impact the storyline, we may now have the answer to what Batman TV series icon Adam West has been doing near a UK filming location for The Dark Knight Rises.
Earlier rumors suggested the actor would make a cameo appearance in Christopher Nolan's third Batman flick, largely because he'd been seen at or near Wollaton Hall, Nottingham, which is doubling for Wayne Manor in the upcoming film.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Warner Bros. are to turn Image Comics’ recent series Undying Love into a feature film with Chris Bender, Stephen L’Heaureux and J.C. Spink attached to produce.
Set in a mood-evoking and cinematic Hong Kong, ‘Undying Love’ presents a simple concept: hardened American ex-soldier, John Sargent, has fallen in love with a beautiful Chinese woman named Mei. The only thing keeping the star-crossed lovers apart is the small issue of Mei being vampire. Yup… it’s another vamp love story.
Determined to ensure the possibility of a future together, Sargent sets out with Mei on a journey to free her from this curse and make her human once more. Further complicating their desperate situation, their unlikely human/vampire partnership has piqued the interests of other strange beings drawn from Chinese folklore where our hero must save Mei from the vampire who created her, and...

Warner Bros. plans to develop Image Comics' series Undying Love into a feature film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Vampire stories are all the rage and it looks like Warner Bros. thinks we're ready for another one.
The comic, written and illustrated by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman, is a horror-action tale that consists of vampire myths and Chinese folklore. It is set in modern-day Hong Kong and explores the love between an ex-soldier and a beautiful Chinese woman named Mei.
One problem: Mei is a vampire. So the soldier sets out to destroy the vampire who turned her in order to save the love of his life.
Coker and Freedman will write the screenplay for the film based on their own comic.

Comic book movies and vampire stories have dominated Hollywood of late, so what happens when you combine the two into one tale? If you're the folks at Warner Bros., you get "Undying Love."
Heat Vision reports that the WB, Stephen L'Heureux and Benderspink (run by Chris Bender and J.C. Spink) are producing an adaptation of Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman's recently launched Image Comics series "Undying Love," a vampire tale with all the blood and romance you might expect, but also with a healthy heaping of Chinese monster lore for good measure.
"Undying Love" starts out as a fairly reasonable and relatable "boy falls for girl" love story. Except in this case, the boy is a former soldier, and the girl just so happens to be a blood-craving vampire. In order for the two of them to be together, the soldier must confront the vampire who created the love of his life,...

In terms of storyline, "Love" focuses on an ex-soldier who falls in love with a vampire girl. Alas, they can't be together unless he faces the vampire who created her, as well as his army of monsters ruling the Hong Kong underworld.

Just when we thought we were nearing the end of Hollywood.s vampire craze, with the Twilight saga drawing to a close and fewer undead projects in development, Warner Bros. dives back in to the blood-red waters for the potential adaptation of a graphic novel (no pun intended). Warner Bros. is jumping in on the vampire action by picking up the rights to a comic book miniseries from Image Comics called Undying Love. The plan of course is to adapt the comic into a feature film.
The comic was created by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman, and it takes the traditional vampire lore, and throws in some Chinese monster myths with dash of Hong Kong style action. The story "centers on an ex-soldier who falls for a girl that happens to be a vampire. The creators of the comic series will also write the script for the film. I've never read the comic so I don't know if this will make for a good film adaptation or not.

Like it or not, vampires are the flavor of the month and Warner Brothers wants a piece of the action. The studio has opted to pick up a film adaptation of the comic book mini-series Undying Love, which was created by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman for Image Comics. The pair will also write the script for the film.
