Sex & Nudity

- Contains innuendos, some references to female breasts, banging and getting laid, implied sex, and make-out sessions. Two sets of teenagers start making out and start to undress but are interrupted. No sex or nudity actually shown. (some of this may only be in the unrated extended cut)
Violence & Gore

- A main character punches an official at a skating event. The character was provoked by an insensitive comment made by the official just seconds before. The official is later seen icing his face.
- As part of a main character's development, he and some friends are walking near a punk concert venue when someone gets thrown through a window, glass shattering everywhere. This pumps up our characters and they immediately join the mosh pit.
- A character gets hit in the face (hard) by a fruit that was thrown at him by one of the main characters.

- My Blu-Ray copy doesn't say which it is I'm pretty sure it's the Unrated Edition. In it, there's 17 uses of fuck (1in Spanish), 27 uses of shit, 6 uses of bitch, 5 uses of faggot, 16 uses of ass (1 in Spanish), and two uses each of damn, hell, crap, and dick.
- 3 obscene hand gestures, 3 sexual references, 4 scatological terms, 9 anatomical terms, 9 mild obscenities, name-calling (idiot, crazy, cokehead freaks)
- The unrated extended cut contains strong language with the typical vulgar terms: F***, S**t, A**, etc.

- A teenage boy smokes marijuana (it is medically prescribed) in a couple of scenes, and a man carries a large plastic bag of marijuana plants out of an apartment. A man drinks alcohol in many scenes, and several men drink beer and smoke A man drinks beer in many scenes, and men and women, as well as teenage girls and teenage boys drink alcohol and smoke tobacco in several scenes in party settings. Teenage boys also smoke cigars
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Two characters get in a fight at a party. One thinks the other is moving in on his girlfriend so he knocks him to the ground and starts viciously kicking him. The character on the ground sees a skateboard and uses it to violently strike his aggressor across the face making him fall to the ground unconscious. He then walks away in pain.
- A main character takes a knife and repeatedly stabs a surfboard. Eventually he stomps on it, breaking the surfboard in half. The surfboard had been given to him as a gift.

Violence & Gore
- One of the main characters collides with another skater causing them to fight. The main character throws his helmet at and insults the other skater ("You stupid Val!") then throws the first punch (which doesn't do much) only to be punched (hard) in the eye by the other skater. You later see him wearing and eye patch that covers an severe eye injury which affects his ability to skate. (good makeup job)
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- Skip gets drunk or high (both?) at his Zephyr party to the point where he has a breakdown and starts becoming agitated by things happening around him. Tension builds as he quickly loses control. Instead of hitting someone, he takes out his frustrations by going to the roof and hurling surfboards to the ground. This really dampens the mood and the party breaks up. The scene ends with Skip laying down on the side of the roof and dropping his bottle of liquor which shatters on the ground.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- While Tony, Stacy, Jay, and Sid take turns skating in an empty pool, Sid takes a hard fall that knocks him out briefly. The other boys look down at him in silence and comes to when prodded by a skateboard. There's a tense moment when Sid says "I can't feel my feet." This tension subsides when he says "But then again, I can never feel my feet."
