The club shown during the "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" number is titled "Mister S". This is in reference to Lynda's then husband 'Ron Samuels' who was also the program's executive producer.
Lynda explained to audiences during her May 5, 2007 cabaret show in San Francisco that when she filmed this special and sang the song "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" that she did not have time to rehearse with the military soldiers that were to be used during that specific performance. While filming the segment various soldiers began twirling real bayonets directly behind Lynda as she moved closer to the camera. She said that a few of the sharp edges made contact with her dress and many of sequins stitched onto the back of the dress were scattered all over the floor.
