Warning: Spoilers
Nickelodeon may have created this show for the tweenie and younger crowd, but it is a guilty pleasure of many people over the intended age demographic.

The synopsis of the show is that Drake's Mom marries Josh's Dad and the boys who have known each other since fourth grade become brothers. The show was created by Dan Schneider who played Dennis Blunden on the '80s ABC sitcom, "Head of the Class".

Drake Bell (Drake Parker) and Josh Peck (Josh Nichols) have a great chemistry together and make a great comedic duo.

They don't show the parents often, but Audrey Parker-Nichols (Nancy Sullivan) and Walter Nichols (Jonathan Goldstien) do a great job as the average American parents in the suburbs. I wish the writers would give them more to do since they are capable actors and not just props for the younger stars to interact with on occasion.

Sure some of the plot lines are silly due to the Y7 rating and the sometimes character growth is slow, but this is a great sitcom that the whole family can watch.

Some high points include:

*Any episode where Josh blows his top at Drake. *Any musical episode that showcases not only Drake Parker's talents but the real life Drake Bell who is a musician in real life as well as an actor. *Megan (Miranda Cosgrove) is a hoot and plays her role as the "evil" Megan Parker to the hilt. *Yvette Nicole Brown as Josh's boss Helen is hilarious as well.

This show is for the young and the young-at-heart.

The Nick show that changed my life
kevcoop78 October 2012
Drake & Josh, just the name itself giving you a heart warmed feeling about these two goof balls!

I have a few compliments for this show from my point of view.

They are as follows:

1) Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, played by the hilarious Drake Bell and Josh Peck, are absolutely dimwitted in a good, belly laughing type way!

2) The music of some episodes, is just, awesome! I even liked the fact one episode even had Drake play the theme song in it!

3) The comedic timing of the characters is just, quote unquote from Inspector Gadget, "Wowzers!"

I could go on with this list, but I don't think I should!

One of the show's episodes, just gets me laughing so hard it splits my sides! Okay, TWO episodes.

It makes me feel like a child doing pranks again when I see Megan's pranks on the Drake and Josh dynamic duo!

All in all, I give this show an ultra, shiny, and brilliantly rare 10 out of 10.

PS-IF you watch any live action show, I recommend The Amanda Show or Drake and Josh!

Peace out!

One of the best shows of Nickelodeon
xxlcrap27 March 2018
Although, the 3 episodes of the "Drake & Josh goes to Hollywood" are extremely dumb... How is it possible to get into the wrong plane and all the stuff doesn't care that a little girl travels alone? How is it possible to see so dumb thieves? Apart from that episodes, Drake & Josh was an amazing, funny and a very pleasant watching show. I hope Nick to make more shows like this (G)old one.

Very funny show!

When it seemed like Nickelodeon was going downhill with their recent shows, they pull off a really good one! That show is Drake and Josh. The story goes like this: Drake Parker lives with his mom and little sister, Megan. Josh Nichols lives with his dad. The mom and dad have been dating, and had made a decision to get married, not to the delight of Drake. Josh is a goody tooshoes, while Drake is a hard rock kid. As for Megan, she's just full of schemes and pranks! Drake Bell and Josh Peck have very good on-air chemistry, which makes for a good show! A thumbs up to Nickeldeon!

One of my most favourite TV shows...Hug me brotha
springsunnywinter6 November 2007
This is not only the best TV-series on Nickelodeon but also the best TV-series ever!!! When the first time I've seen it I absolutely fell in love with it and I never miss a single episode. Every episode is very, very entertaining, funny and has an amazing story. Another thing I really like about the show is when Drake & Josh talk to the audience about each other before it starts because it builds up the funny mood. They both act really well, Drake's acting is definitely original and Josh's acting is quite similar to Jim Carry when he makes a lot of face expressions but it suits him and I really like both of them.

The first episode I've seen was when Josh moved in Drake's house and came into his room and said "These bed sheets match my pyjamas" and I was rolling on the ground with laughter also near the end when Josh said "I gave good advice while wearing pants". The writers always have been clever since it started and I would also like to give them credit. I also like the song "I found a way" which is written and performed by Drake Bell.

Overall it is one of my most favourite TV shows and do not fall for anyone who has given it lower than 8 out of 10 because they have no sense of humour. I recently seen the new extended episode called "The really big shrimp" which made me happy.

The best (and only quality show) by Nickelodeon!
TorontoLiver11 September 2014
Drake & Josh is truly one of the best sitcoms ever made! It features a realistic setting, good characters, and good life lessons.

Drake & Josh is a dangerously funny show about two boys living in San Diego, California with very different personalities who suddenly become brothers when their parents fall in love and marry. One is a permanently lucky, guitar playing heartthrob, and the other is an awkward but lovable geek. One of Josh's many gags is that he comically shouts single words at the end of sentences for emphasis. EMPHASIS! Drake plays guitar, rarely does his homework, and is a master at getting girls. Josh is a guy who goes out of his way to do well at school and everything else, which drives Drake crazy. Other characters include the sister, Megan, from Drake's side of the family, who pulls mean-spirited pranks on her brothers for no reason, especially Josh. She's the semi-antagonist, but she does care somewhat for her brothers, helping them more than a dozen times. Then there's Audrey Parker, who's Drake's attractive mother who's a firm but fair mom to Drake and Josh, and Walter Nichols, who's Josh's dad, and has a job as a weatherman for the city's local news station.

The show is hilarious with almost no flat jokes at all. Even though the show's a family sitcom, it's edgy enough for most adults to enjoy. Dude, I'm 21 and admittedly love this show! Unlike most Nickelodeon rubbish, this show remains watchable throughout the whole series. Definitely recommended for folks looking for humor as well as serious family issues. Watch it now!

Great Show!
for-real26 February 2007
This is a show where the whole family can watch altogether. The storyline is great and the characters are hilarious, the chemistry between them is perfect! I think a lot of people can relate to most of these characters which is an advantage.

We've got Drake Parker - a laid back cool guy who gets all the girls, plays guitar but doesn't do very well in school. On the other hand we've got Josh Nichols, who is the total opposite, he's kinda goofy and enjoys school unlike Drake. We've also got Drake's younger sister, Megan who plays pranks on both of the boys. I have to say the pranks are quite clever. She is very mean towards Drake and Josh but it's great how she acts all innocent and sweet when the parents are around. Overall, i really enjoy this show and my parents do to. It make you laugh out loud and the plot is great! One of the best things i love about this show is that the show doesn't have perfect characters. I would recommend this to all ages and everyone in the family will enjoy it. Watch it i'll promise you you'll watch it again and again.

Warning: Spoilers
Drake and Josh is comedy gold and one of Nickelodeon's only worthwhile and home run hit shows. I didn't really get into it at first because it was on such an obscure network, known only for its mindless cartoon shows like Spongebob (which after a few episodes I deemed highly inappropriate for the two children I babysit regularly)and I am in my mid-twenties. But after channel surfing a number of times, the 7 year old girl I was watching yelled "Stop! It's time for Drake and Josh!", on Nickelodeon. I decided to at least try it, and if I didn't approve, I could always change it. Well, after watching a few minutes of it with her, we were both cracking up. The fun begins when two polar-opposite boys in high school, end up becoming stepbrothers, when Josh's dad marries Drake's mother and thus creates an Odd Couple situation. The show's characters, mainly energetic Josh's crazy mannerisms and cartoon-like behavior (without going overboard) highly appealed to 7 year old Melanie (who kept giggling about how funny he was) and even managed to reach me on a different level, even though they are young men in high school. Josh's step-brother Drake (who is not too bright and very girl crazy) often gets into many crazy adventures and situations, and his poor brother Josh gets dragged along for the ride. The antics and dialogue that goes on between the two boys (who also share a room...and a bratty little sister)is often reminiscent of old comedy and sitcom routines, but with a fresh new face. Now I am even drawn to actor Drake Bell's (Drake Parker on the show) music and his career (He plays the title theme song "I Found A Way" which is an addicting catchy tune) Through whatever challenges and silly problems these boys face, they always manage to come out on top because they have each other to lean on. Great show for everyone!

Warning: Spoilers
I remember watching this with my brother who absolutely loved the show, this was like back when it was aired on Nickelodeon. I did not really like the show because I thought the jokes weren't funny and it was more like a boys television show!

However I found out like last year, Drake and Josh were doing a blues brothers act on a episode where they participated for a school contest and I swear, I actually did regret on not looking at the show! They are talented and they should've sang more since they are such brilliant singers!

It's too bad that both boys weren't successful enough in their careers. They have changed so much and gotten more sexier but still, its not great to hear they didn't go further with acting. At least, they are still known as Drake and Josh that we know today!

A Very Good Show Indeed
thomas-allen1014 August 2008
Drake and Josh is an American sitcom focusing on two teenagers, Drake Parker and Josh Nichols who soon become step brothers once Drake's Mum and Josh's Dad announce that they're getting married. The two step brothers have their differences and often fall out with each other in various situations but they still care for each other and manage to resolve their problems.

Drake and Josh is very good show which is not only funny but sweet and intelligent at the same time dealing with the relationship of brothers and how they behave. In my opinion, this is the only good children's show that's on television these days. Most of the programmes on television these days are mediocre.

Drake and Josh is fresh, new and a show filled with excitement and charm. It's something special for both kids and adults alike.

Pretty much the best show ever
interesting_drug25 September 2005
I couldn't recommend this show enough. If you want to watch TV that offers sheer, unadulterated enjoyment then you need to see this show. It's hilarious, feel-good and uplifting. Dan Schneider struck gold when he came up with idea of giving these two a show. Josh Peck and Drake Bell were originally on the nowhere near as funny Amanda show, and their characters in this are essentially exaggerated versions of themselves. Drake is a smooth talking, guitar playing ladies' man whereas Josh is the polar opposite. The chemistry between the two is amazing. The humour in the show walks the line between so bad it's good, and just plain good. There are many classic moments that I can't even begin to pick out individual ones. The only downside to the programme is that when I'm watching it's so amazing and so feel-good that when it's over I just want to die. Absolute perfection and those who say otherwise are pretty much plain wrong.

good natured humor that the whole family can enjoy
The_Amazing_Spy_Rises27 March 2006
Drake & Josh is one of the best kids shows on TV, but it's one that the whole family can enjoy. Featuring rising stars and best friends Drake Bell and Josh Peck, the two young stars have scored a hit in this show. Ever since moving on from 'The Amanda Show', these two have been a great source of entertainment, Bell for music, and Peck for his appearances in 'Max Keeble's Big Move' and 'Mean Creek'. They are simply hilarious in this show.

The show focuses on the lives and times of Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, two guys who become step-brothers after Drake's mom (Nancy Sullivan) and Josh's dad (Jonathan Goldstein) get married. Drake's sister, Megan (Miranda Cosgrove; Yours, Mine, & Ours; School of Rock), is also one of the best comic relief characters on TV. She is always manipulating her brothers so well, in many hilarious ways.

The reason the characters of Drake and Josh are so good is because they compliment each other. Drake is the popular pretty boy musician, who tends to do the crazy stuff, while Josh is the more conscientious and down to earth of the two, keeping Drake in line. They are both equally funny, and that's what makes the show so good.

You'll have a good time watching a fun family show like this. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys light-hearted humor that'll entertain all ages.

And I thought the Amanda Show was Bad.
Yerkman14 August 2007
This show really proves that Nick has gone to hell. I mean seriously. I could not SEARCH for a show with worse comedy, characters, and writing. I would like to point out that this show teaches children ALL the wrong things. The jokes and the comedy are bad, but the characters are by far the worst this show has to offer. (Just a side note, Im not blaming the actors for this). First we have Drake. A selfish arsewhipe who plays about three chords on a guitar, always gets the girl, and treats his brother like crap. (The WORST thing about Drake is that they had the gall to stick him in a Black Sabbath shirt. As IF he ever listened to Sabbath...). Then we have the sister, Megan, who always gets away with doing horrible violent things to her brothers, and manages to convince her dumbass parents that she's innocent. Then we have Josh. Josh gets punished EVERY episode for doing the right thing it seems. The only DECENT, morally conscious character in this show gets dumped on every single damn episode. The jokes thatthis show contains are bland. I recall thinking that if the show had no laugh track, no one would know what to laugh at. Dan Schnider has really gotten lazy. Thanks a bunch Nick. Thanks for airing this unholy charade of comedy.

I like this show a lot. Drake Bell and Josh Peck have such a great chemistry on screen together that it was only common knowledge that they get their show together. Their show will make you laugh and think while you watch the two characters try to become step-brothers while having to deal with teenage life and their bratty little sister. A cute show for all. I recommend this story to people who are looking for something to watch on a Sunday night! ~!

Drake and Josh is great
Floated26 December 2008
Its amazing! this show is very fun and entertaining show to watch. The episodes are very funny and creative. I just sorta wished they continued doing more episodes and continued the show because its fun to watch but anyways it was great while it lasted. I recently just started watching this show about months ago and i find it very good. Unlike some other nick or Disney shows, this show keeps the viewers entertained the whole way with its creativity and funny scenes (yea i know).

The first season is good but the last seasons are great. Drake and Josh both grow up and kind of change throughout the show. The biggest change for me is how Josh lost his weight. I mean, in the first few seasons, he's fat then in the last season he's not fat. Is crazy good!..its weird how that happened and why he decided to go on some diet or something. Another thing that changes is that in most of the newest episodes, Drake and Josh are always dating and going out with girls unlike most of the first season. I also love Megan, she's so fuc*ing sexy and her characters is hilarious. I love how she's always pranking her brother's This show is definitely one of my favorites of alltime time...I highly recommend people to start watching it..its great

OK, so I might sound like a dork here, but I do have an excuse as to why I started watching this show. First let me say that I'm 18 years old, and I am in college. Now let me say that I absolutely LOVE this show. I started watching it because I babysit a 6 year old in the afternoons, and this show is on, and he watches it. But I've watched it enough with him that I watch it even when I'm not babysitting. Seriously, watch it. You'll love it. It's so funny, and Josh and Drake are so good together. It's completely cheesy, but it'll capture your attention, I guarantee it....(and that comes from someone who can't sit still long enough to watch 5 minutes of anything!)

Hilarious show I've ever seen on Nickelodeon
matthew_huang8727 March 2007
I think this show, Drake and Josh is awesome, funny, and hilarious. I love it!! This is one of the most popular shows I've ever seen on Nickelodeon. Drake Bell, he is cool and he is a big fan of girls and loves them and he is also a good guitar player. Before I watched Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon, I watched Rugrats, Rocket Power, Hey Arnold, and All Grown Up based on Rugrats. Its not like I don't watch it anymore, they're not on the air or they're on a different time. I miss watching all those shows on Nickelodeon so I choose to watch Drake and Josh. They should have a marathon of 6 episodes one day a week in the summer every afternoon.

intelligent, witty, and good
tyranid_slayer7 May 2007
Normally my little sister watches Disney channel and the shows on that are cheesy and the jokes just aren't funny. So sometimes she watches nickelodeon. Which has more intelligent programming like drake and josh.

Drake and Josh is a spin-off from the Amanda Show. Unlike it's predecessors Drake and Josh is witty intelligent and charming. The jokes are funny and intelligent and plot lines are interesting unlike the suite life or thats so raven. The show needs much more recognition because at the moment cheesy shows like the suite life hannah montana and thats so raven are ruling the TV world.

The show is currently still engaged in continuing seasons and i hope it continues for a long time because it's just plain better.

Well, that's I only can see comedy in HK
Trobleshooter5 March 2007
In Hong Kong it is very good to have Drake and Josh because it is almost the most funniest comedy in here.I feel that their show really caught our heart.Even sometimes they risk their lives to do this show, even it is or not.

Others like the opening or ending are very attractive to the audiences. Thanks to Drake Bell's song everyone could know that 'Wow this is an interesting show'.

I first time thought this is boring but suddenly feel good about this show.So until now I watched for 2 years.

Well.I hope that they can develop more in the coming future.

Captures my attention from time to time.
MegaCynic26 September 2010
Well,I must admit this show isn't too bad.I think it is absolutely adorable how Nick tries to make teen shows. But other than that this show is pretty funny. The show follows two step-bothers Drake Parker and Josh Peck, who are complete opposites at school now trying to work together. Its strongest point is that it resurrected "Abott and Costello" type comedies. Believe me sometimes they try a little too hard but this show is pretty good for just about anyone. People of all ages can enjoy it. Another thing is that it isn't predictable. I mean, sometimes you can sense whats going to happen but there are other times where I have been completely taken by surprise. This show is pretty good,Give it a chance if you haven't already.

Wonderful sitcom
Winds_of_Destination23 October 2007
Drake & Josh is easily the most promising of TeenNick's many shows. The majority of the jokes are funny, as they should be, and the acting itself is hilarious, especially from Josh.

The show is really just about two kids whose parents got divorced, then married, and now they live with each other. Drake & Josh are completely opposite in personality: Josh is sarcastic, uptight, and a bit of a nerd while Drake is laid back and cool. Despite their quarrels, which tend to be hilarious, the two are an inseparable duo and make an excellent comedic team. Lines are cleverly written by the writers and delivered with perfection- the timing of each joke is 100% accurate and enhances the jokes. Even small jokes, such as Josh getting scared by Drake by accident, turn into hilarious, side-splitting jokes.

While nearly everything is executed perfectly, there are still a couple of problems. The first one is the parents. The mother is nearly non-existent, as I almost never see her on the show, and is there mainly to get characters get along with each other, which never happens. The dad shows up a little more often, but unfortunately, he is a clueless airhead who is too unbelievable because of his stupidity. His stupidity is really not that funny, but luckily, he doesn't show up too much.

The one character, though, who I absolutely despise, is sister Megan Parker. She is the queen of all brats, and I can't stand her presence on the screen because she is so evil and mean and literally NEVER gets in trouble for the wrongs she's committed. She gets away with everything and loves every minute of it, and I get so steamed when I see her. This is such a downfall in the show, it decreases much of the show's credibility. Megan isn't as bad in some of the newer episodes, but I still don't like her character.

So far Drake & Josh has run pretty smoothly, getting better and better as it goes. The future of the show is questionable- I've heard rumors it has been canceled- but nothing is written in stone yet. I'm hoping the show continues to go instead of quitting while its ahead, because it is easily one of the best sitcoms developed in the 00's. 7.5/ 10.

Its WAS funny..
Mr-Gabriel3523 June 2008
It was really funny at first, like every show is. But after.. well.. Josh got skinny it stopped being funny. I mean, he yells so much, he does these stupid hand movements that are as annoying as anything. Drake is plain stupid, and Megan just doesn't know when to quit. The person thats aggravates me the most is, of course, Josh. He's just..UGH. I feel like I want to puke because he's so not funny, his jokes and repeating words have gotten old, and he just goes on and on about crap that nobody cares about. 1/10, thanks to Josh. I don't really mind Drake, although it gets annoying that all he thinks about is girls, and Megan gets annoying that she just can't leave Drake and Josh alone for once.
